    No.

I would give him at least another season.

Like i said before, he started of very well. IMO the nature of the Premier league has taken its toll on him. He works so hard, and he was scoring quite regulary before his tail off in form.

He will be better with a proper Premier league pre season

Neither one or the other for me at the moment. He is our top scorer in the league thus far, and in his first season so credit for that.

In his first few months he showed everything I'd hoped for, I knew he wasn't a player with a lot of flair and didn't expect him to be beating people left right and centre, but he held the ball well for us, showed good awareness playing some very smart balls through to others and making the right runs, and was getting a healthy goal every other game too.

From then on by and large I haven't really liked the way Rafa has been using him, as a few have pointed out he doesn't have the great technique, vision or flair needed to play in the hole - it just doesn't get the best out of him. I think if he plays as a lone striker or as the one of two strikers who tends to drop off at times then that's fine, but he's been used as a link man which is something he's just not going to excel at IMO.

I'd back him to do pretty well for us if used properly, and given he's more of a team player than someone to produce individual brilliance, I'd also expect him to do better if we add a couple more quality attacking players to the team.

I'd sell in a heart beat. Defoe and Bent are even better strikers and I don't particularly want them either.

Crouch is the only one of our strikers I wouldn't want to sell.

Keep him until January, which gives him a chance to improve and also for our new striker(s) to settle in.

If he hasn't improved by then, ship him out.

I Like Kuyt and do think Rafa isnt playing to his strengths. It all depends on the summer. IF* we have mega-bucks we buy Villa/Torres/eto then Kuyt may play and link up well with these guys.

He isnt going to win you the premeirship but should remain a very valuable squad player

Would have to say Hit as he is in double figures in his first season and shown glimpses of talent coupled with an incredible engine. Bit harsh to call him a miss in his first season imo

mmmmm, i think hes a good solid player with massive potential, played out of position most of the season as he is most effective as an out and out striker, that said id take ten mill for him but only because crouch can do link up play and seems to score as well. mind you it is his first season so im all for givng him a fair chance.
heard a few times that Real Madrid are after him in the summer??

                    Rafa did. He didn't.

You did watch Cisse play, right?

Kuyt - IMO - is a totally different player to Cisse, more of a second striker to Cisse's centre forward.

In the end both will be judged on their goals and performances. Cisse was an abject failure, and Kuyt isn't pulling up any trees thus far.

Kuyt would probably score more if played up top. Whoever on here said he's not quick enough, skilful enough to play the Beardsley type role was right. To get the best out of him he needs to be played right up top, and told to stay in the bloody box. Decent player, and done reasonably well this season, but I'll be expecting a lot more from him next season. Jury's out for me at present.

It's far too soon to judge. Players in their frist season take time to adjust, especially foreign players - e.g. Henry, Drogba, Ronaldo, Pires, Bergkamp...

He's done better than, for instance, Morientes so judgment should be suspended for the time being.

It's easy to write people off too soon.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

I believe I read he's our highest scoring striker since Owen (in the league), so that's something I guess.

I think he's going to do a bit of a Drogba, not spectacular in his first season but improving in his second

As I said, I don't want him but he's more of a goal threat than Kuyt.
