Thing is, he had chances to go and wanted to go but we stalled his final couple of years to keep him as cover. That is what he moaning about, not the fact that he's not 1st choice.

IMO he has a point too. He's not been a moaner despite obviously being unhappy. It's doesn't do our recruitment a lot of good to force a guy like him to waste the final years of his career against his will when we had 1-2mil offers for him.

But when he's stepped in he's been woeful. Age, lack of concentration whatever, I dont know, but he's clearly not up to it.

Either way, it is a thankless task sitting on the bench and only playing in the dead rubber games. I wonder if Carson has the concentration for it as well, aside from whetehr he's willing or not.

I honestly think that Carson needs a season behind a half competant defence - playing every match before he is judged in terms of his concentration / ability to make it as a top level keeper. From what Maestro has said though unless he has suddenly realised he should listen to instruction from our coaching staff about his style of keeping he will not be with us long.

I feel sorry for Dudek. He deserved to be allowed to leave, at least in January when we knew we were probably not going to challenge for the league.

Yes, I can seee where Dudek comes from here.
He has wanted to go, but Rafa has kept him on the books as experienced cover nonetheless.

I am sorry but how can he complain about sitting on the bench all season getting 40 grand a week. He has to admit he is ****ing ****, After Istanbul I had Dudek down as a hero but after this season I think he is a complete ******, if he was a horse he would be shot by now.

He's one of the 3 or 4 top earners at the club.

I have to say I was happy to have him in the squad last season for sentimental reasons and thinking he could do a job if he was called upon but this season he is terrible.
