alonso was more intense in the 2nd half and won a lot more of the 2nd ball. zenden should of been replaced before alonso though

Was it just me or was anyone else thinking about the summer tansfer window during the match esecially seeing or lack of creating chances and creativity?

You thought he played well then ?

I thought he gave the ball away constantly and couldn't handle the pressure he was put under from the Chelsea midfield.

I'm wondering whether Alonso deserves his place for the 2nd leg. We need a Def CM in there to keep the back door shut, but we need the other 3 MFs to push on. We also somehow need to keep Masher off another yellow card.

I've been thinking about the transfer window for...oh nigh on the best part of ten years now - we've been that boring and uncreative for THAT long.

We lost, but one way this is a better result for our mentally. 0 - 0 or 1 - 1 would have had us uncertain to defend or attack

Next week, we have to attack. We concide a goal - we need 3 goals - but we have to score, and therefore changes the mentality of the players - and significantly the fans. Those of you who are going - have real important role -

My worry was that we`d sleepwalk through the first league and then be knocked out by the away goal

At least now we are definitely underdogs, we have to just go for it
                      We need better attacking players!

****ing hell lads, get a ****ing grip!! We've lost by a single goal in the away leg to the three times in a row English champions (hopefully) and we've still got the home leg at Anfield next week to come FFS...

When i watched Kaka last night it just added the exclamation point on how poor our attackers are. Kuyt plays in the same position and there is no competition.
                              We come not to play.
