My take on the situation from the very beginning is this:

First the earth cooled and then the dinosaurs came. But they got too big and fat and turned into oil, and then the Arabs came, and they all bought Mercedes Benzes, and then Prince Charles started wearing Lady Dianna's clothes, she couldn't believe it!

And then Craig Bellamy came to Liverpool. He thought he was Roy of the Rovers but turned out he should have stayed Craig Bellamy of Blackburn Rovers.

I dont know about that, but if the conversation did take place, surely it was discrete, private and off the record and this reporter would have known that, yet he goes blurts it out on live tv the eve of our biggest game in nearly 2 years. Surely we can agree he has gained something out of this - who had heard of the no mark before?

Yup, he was definatley worth a £6M gamble rather than a Torres type £25M gamble. If it paid off he would be at legend status already, but it didn't, so we just get our money back and the wages we have paid him just about covers his 9 goals.

No hard feelings to the guy, I don't see him as the answer to our goal scoring needs.

Obviously Bellamy has told this reporter something, the reporters probably exaggerated slightly what Bellamy told him, come out with this story (which is probably true), Bellamy seen it and thought **** i've got a chance of a champs lge medal here and this fools reported what i told him in confidence. Bellamy then trying to cover with this response.
