I can't wait to see the back of Bellamy. And getting rid of Pennant (despite really good performances recently) wouldn't upset me. Crouch has done enough to convince me he's worth keeping.

I know people like to have a go at him because he's a bit feisty etc, but I like to see a bit of fire in the bellies of our players. He would probably get another year if it weren't for the investment and the fact that, frankly, we can afford better players now. I'll be a bit sorry to see him go, I won't go crying into my pint but he's done OK.
Fair play to him and good luck.

I don't think he was bought as a squad player he got enough games to show what he can do. He hasn't produced but was well worth a gamble at 6mill for an EPL striker.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostHmmmm...
I can see your point, assuming Villa are stupid enough to cough up 10m, but I still think it was a mistake to buy him Shaggy.
That extra 6m could have been better spent chasing one of Rafa's first choice targets, like Alves.
I'm sick and tired of signing 'squad players'.
We'll sell for 8 at least.
The 6 mill wouldn't have bought Alves btw and we still needed another striker.
It was a clever bit of business at the time.

I think you got the first point right the second wrong. I think he did tell him but as a friend. We all tell friends things that we don't expect them to spread. It was not unprofessional it was one person telling another that he trusts. I would suspect that Mr Allen will have some explaining to do to his so called friend.Originally posted by Sir Bob View PostIts pretty obvious whats happened.
Bellamy's told Malcolm allen the position, not expecting him to go public. He has so Bellamy has to deny the story. He can hardly confirm it can he. Its another example of bellamy's unprofessional approach off the pitch.

Bit harsh comparing him to Diouf, whatever happened with Riise (nobody really knows) he didnt spit in a fans face, Im sure Riise wasnt totally innocent in the incidentOriginally posted by REDSCOUSER View PostHe tarnished the clubs name with his stupid antics when he clobbered Riise with the golf club, Rafa never allows his players to act like complete ****s. He will be mentioned in the same breath as Diouf I'm afraid. Good player but a loose cannon upstairs. See ya later.08-09 Dirk monitor

I'm sure bellamy did tell allen as a friend but he should have made it 100% clear it wasn't a remark for public consumption. If he did this but allen still went ahead then Bellamy should choose his friends a bit more carefully.AKA Heighway No9

I meant that he muddled the clubs name with his behavior. For sure we dont know what Riise did but bottom line Bellamy came off worst reputation wise.Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostBit harsh comparing him to Diouf, whatever happened with Riise (nobody really knows) he didnt spit in a fans face, Im sure Riise wasnt totally innocent in the incident18-5-7-8-3
