He isn't very underrated - he is average.

But last night was one of his best games for as long as I can remember.

I've been criticizing him often in the past, but to be fair to the lad, I'd much prefer him in our side than Ashley Cole or Patrice Evra.

Haha, indeed. I always want to be proved wrong in these instances.

However, he's not there yet. He's improving and now looks worthy of his place in the squad, but he needs to keep it going and keep improving.

D-agger to the heart. Saw off his critics after the first leg. Along with Carra, handled Drogba effectively and nullified the threat posed by the diving cheat.
