I'm actually looking forward to this game and not feeling the usual nerves. There isn't the desperate need to win it like in 2005 and we've done brilliantly to get to the final and surpassed our rivals. And we're not playing the scum, although it may have been an easier game. Anything else is a bonus. Not that I want the players to feel like this..

I think we can actually enjoy this one.

I'm resigned to the fact I'm going ot have to pay a lot for my flight sadly as I can't take much time off. Looking to do a day trip. At least £700 I guess. Hopefully the club will give us a good deal through their official package

Kos for a week for £99ish then from Kos to Athens for £140. Throw in the price of a ticket and Im done and done for less than £300.

Athens isn't that bad apart from no plumbing. My Mother lived there for years - I think she still misses it sometimes.

Watching the final in Liverpool - any advice?

Ok, on the basis that my only chance of getting to Athens for the final will rest on me winning a competition of some variety (probably costing 3 times the air fare to enter) I thought the next best thing would be to head to Liverpool to sample a bit of atmosphere there instead.

Can anyone suggest or recommend good bars/clubs etc that will be showing the game. I realise I'll need to be in one of these hostelries from about 11am to get a spot, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
