And we're not playing the scum, although it may have been an easier game. Anything else is a bonus. Not that I want the players to feel like this..

I think we can actually enjoy this one.
I agree on all those points.

        Have you tried www.sportops.com on 0207 976 5600?

They were offering day trips for £475 yesterday, and I've booked four of us on a 2 night stay for £650 this morning.

That's the problem with you scousers - no appreciation for culture. All you want is Western European destinations where you can buy cheap shell suits in bulk and bring them back and sell them for profit.

                    Im in.

Kos for a week for £99ish then from Kos to Athens for £140. Throw in the price of a ticket and Im done and done for less than £300.

                    Anyone else going to Kos?

I dont doubt it. For £99 a week Im not expecting much.

I will stay in Athens to check out local ancient culture instead.
Should be enough to see there.

                            £99 is a rip off

I'm sure there's people who like it. Someone said some parts of it are better than others but they must have kept those parts hidden when I was there

Athens isn't that bad apart from no plumbing. My Mother lived there for years - I think she still misses it sometimes.

Watching the final in Liverpool - any advice?

Ok, on the basis that my only chance of getting to Athens for the final will rest on me winning a competition of some variety (probably costing 3 times the air fare to enter) I thought the next best thing would be to head to Liverpool to sample a bit of atmosphere there instead.

Can anyone suggest or recommend good bars/clubs etc that will be showing the game. I realise I'll need to be in one of these hostelries from about 11am to get a spot, but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

                                Cheers in advance.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down
