Monster Mash - First Star Signing of the year...and we MUST sign him permanantly..

Our first priority is to ensure that we sign him permanantly at ALL COST beyond the less than 18 months now that we have him for...nothing short of being a brilliant player and future LEGEND. Now before we have a few detractors saying "oh but this is so early to decide to spend 18 million pounds on a player so early on his LFC career and to base it on these few games he's played for us" - am is basing on the following FACTs:

    - His pedigree in South America - he's lived up to his hype
    - His pedigree on the international stage - he's lived up to his potential right off from an early age
    - His pedigree off the field when he was rotting in the reserves at WHU when he still maintained a level of professionalism and stuck at it and never gave up hope (WTF were they thinking? sure bonus payments if they played him a certain number of games but was it truely worth the situation that they are in now?)
    - His pedigree in joining LFC and the number of occassions he's risen for us with his passing, tackling, no-nonsense and all action displays, sure to be a KOP legend

I would like to see Red Chilli's views on his performances so far.....haven't seen him around the site much lately.

We must secure him to a permanent deal. 22 years old, and he is only going to get better.

Momo should be ****ting himself TBH, Masher has come in and taken his spot already, Xabi is undroppable...and Stevie, nuff said.

Momo, as much as i like the lad, has become expendable. If Juve offer us a good deal for him...we should probably take it. Unless he wants to sit on the bench...im fine by that.

I think we need to hang on to Sissoko as well. We need at least 2 good players for every position. He is also still young and will improve.

From another thread, I posted this:

From West Ham reserves to a CL Final within 4 months, I wonder how Tevez feels right now!

Anyone bother to ask Masher if he made the right decision or not??

          You've been mashed,
          You've been monster mashed
          It was a mash,
          it was a graveyard mash
          He did the mash
It caught on in a flash
          He did the mash
          He did the monster mash

Sissoko will stay and he will play his fair share of games next season. He wasn't at his best since he came back from his shoulder injury. He'll be better next season.

What a midfield that will be.

I thought Masher was our MOM last night.

              Can't praise him enough.

He made a name for himself and seemed to really enjoy the game last night - I think he was staking a claim with Xabi on the bench last night - he did himself justice

I'm not that sure that Sissoko will stay. Even Zenden is now picked before him.

Mascherano is another one of Rafa's super signings. He has signed Xabi and soon Mascherano for the same price that Chelsea paid for Essien.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

i think he will sign for us as soon as it is possible. He must be very grateful for rafa for rescuing him from WHU and will pay Liverpool back by sigining.

What a good game last night. He is definately one of the final pieces of the jigsaw. For rafa to drop alonso and not even bench sissoko last night proves what Rafa thinks of mascher allready.

I didnt even notice lampard on the field last night other than the set pieces he took and the alonso tackle. Mind you Makelele was very good and definately stopped them from being over run.

                      well done lad.

                        24 milllion??
i dont think the price will be that high. maybe 15 mil.

I thought he played well too but am I the only one dissapointed with the way he gave the ball away so much. Very Momo like in that respect. But, yes, he did play well. Masch and Gerrard versus Makelely, Lampard and Mikel and they came out on top!

Eth, are you going to keep that avatar? It's class mate but it's hard to read your stuff from laughing!!
No, no, no.........I'm only scary 'cause I'm hairy

Big year for me 2008, hope it all goes well for me, oh, and you lot too!

Absolutely superb he was. His passing was quite good as well, although he did make a few mistakes.

He gave the ball away, cheaply, about five times in the first five minutes, but after that he was immense.

One of my favourite players already.

IF we play Milan in the final, Kaka won't get anything like the time and space he was afforded in the 1st half in Istanbul - not with Masher around.
