That's true. One of his first touches was a badly misplaced pass. After that he was knocking it around brilliantly. Some of the passing was Xabi-esque.

Alonso will have a big big challange next season and that is to keep his spot instead of Mascher who has been superb for us. The price 10£ m is a snip for a class player as he.

I think the player that will lose out is Sissoko, not Alonso.

I would not be surprised if he leaves in a cash plus player deal.

Sissoko plus money for Eto'o or Villa.

Even Rafa got tired of Sissoko losing the ball all the time and moved him out on the wing.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

MOMO has had a couple of injuries so you cant judge him like that for the whole season. He is a big part of Rafa plans in the future. He aint going nowhere.

Mascherano was absolutely immense on Tuesday. Seemed like wherever they had the ball he was ready and waiting to nip in and take it straight back off them. ****ing fantastic performance. Although he had a short spell where his pasing was poor, I think he also started to show he has got a very good range of passing too. What a brilliant signing.

For the record I don't want any of our CM players to be moved on. Alonso has had a poor season and Momo has been hot and cold, more cold of late, but both have produced very high levels for us in the past and both will in the future too. I will say this though, of all the CM players we have, Masher and Gerrard is the best combination. It will be interesting to see how the roles of certain players might change next season. SG back in the middle? Xabi further forward at times? Masher has given us new possibilities, no?

Who knows? It's Momo's place that Mascherano now plays in.

Sissoko won't be going anywhere, he's always named in the 16 man squad on match days.

Those that will be leaving are those that don't appear regularly in that squad.

                        He is absolutely brilliant.

And to think there were so many people on here questioning his signing.

He's been around a little bit lately, I noticed recently. Fleeting visits, like.

Thought the rumour was we were paying/ had paid £10m for the fantastic Masher-monster?

...and in addition to a few on here I'd love us to sign Tevez too to replace Bellers- plus one out & out finisher. Them argies have real fire in their bellies
                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
