The brand of football that wins you League titles, is the one being played by Chelsea and Manure. Chelsea have the quality to play a cagey European game in the league simply because they have very strong players, such as Essien and Drogba, who fit with English league very well. And they're very decisive and efficient at the same time.
Talking about Chelseas success is a waste of time.Unlimited funds should secure sucess.Manure on the other hand deserve praise for winning the league despite having sh*te players like Fletcher,Carrick,O`Shea,Silvestre,Brown and Park.Their great players like Ronaldo,Rooney,Giggs and Scholes have carried them to the PL title but if i were a Manure fan i`d be worried that Giggs,Scholes and Fergie are coming to the end of their careers.

I woudn't - I'd trust a manager who knows what it's about to win league titles to address those issues 100%. I guess Nani and Hargreaves will address those two issues.... don't write them off mate, with their attacking intent anything is possible.

Fergie knows what it takes to win the PL, as well as Maureen and Wenger. I don't think we'll win it playing the type of football we've been witnessing in the league away from home.

I`m not writing them off, never would but this current ManU team is not as strong as in the past.why Chelsea or ourselves didn`t challenge a weakened Manu this season is beyond me.They won`t have it so easy next yr with Chelsea having a new manager and us having better investment,HOPEFULLY.

Mourihno will be there next season as I don't think there is a better manager around for them.

As for manure being a limited team, that's what I though at the start of the league. But they've hugely impressed me with their spirit and attacking verve this season. They're quickly turning into the Barca of the premier league, playing beautiful attacking football with one touch passing and at pace. I think they are the only team in the top 4 which plays without a target man upfront.

Chelsea had major injuries this season to Cech, Carvallho, Cole, Terry and this hampered them - they also ran out of steam in the end.

We had no excuse except most of our players were **** in August/September, we got off to a **** start at Sheffield United, and the manager doesn't know how to win away from home. We are also obsessed with buying "squad players".

Hopefully it will be addressed in the summer, as Mascherano has been a fabulous start to 2007.

Adebayor and to a lesser extend Henry. Both are big players who could hold the ball up. Compare that to United's, who have Rooney as the sole focal point of their attack, with Giggs and Ronaldo revolving around him. It's all about pace and movement for them. Whereas we chip and charge old style.

It's all iffs and butts ... They HAVE WON it mate. They can rile us as they want, it's part and parcel of the game. The ball's in our camp to try and rectify that, but we'll also have to make do with Chelsea (who will be a wounded lion) and Arsenal before counting us as champions.

The extra investment must be a factor for us.We missed out on Simao and Alves in successful season`s because of inadequate investment, imagine if we`d signed both when we wanted them instead of settling for second choice wingers.

I’m not bitter about it at all. They deserved the league, simple as. I’m glad to see a lot of people see it the same way.

I’ll also be looking forward to taking the trophy from them. Ferguson’s life work has been to dethrone us….. he is on his way to doing that.

But how good would it be to see him come so close and then just as he becomes too old to carry on, seeing us regain a few titles and regain our perch position!

                          That would be nice!

Agree. We need the best there is for the following positions:

                            Right Midfield
                            Center Forward
                            Left Midfield

Second best wouldn't be acceptable to challenge the top two. So if this means spending in excess of 70 Million, then I think we should spend them.

If we can't sign the players we want (that Rafa wants), then it's no point talking about challenging for the league next season. The onus is on our side to take up the challenge. We've not been doing that in the recent past.

The board must match Rafa's ambitions at all costs now.

Time for Gillett and Hicks to show their intentions.
