      BENITEZ EYES GIFT OF GABY
      09/05/2007

REAL ZARAGOZA defender Gaby Milito has pleaded for the chance to join Liverpool after they lined up a £10million player-plus-cash deal involving Mark Gonzalez.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is hoping to make it third time lucky after two previous bids for Argentine centre-half Milito (above) were rejected.

Milito said: "This is my opportunity to join a big club in Europe. Liverpool have a Spanish coach, which is very important for me."

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

We must have made an official bid for Milito IMO because he would never be allowed to say the above if we had not done that.

        A back three next season?

Its a massive difference in price

That difference could significantly affect Rafas spending power
Yes, at that price that would be a no go. I would be curious to know who will be getting the sack and who are gonna be the replacements. Robbie + one of Bellers and Crouch. I don't think that Voronin will come in the equation as he's been signed before the takeover deal. Rafa won't be banking him as backup IF two forwards are off this summer.

Milito is a strange one, as we already have Sami and Paletta.

Michael Owen i doubt wil be at Newcastle next year. He wants a chance of winning more medals he's no longer a young lad.

Milito good player but i would say he's probably 3rd/4th choice in Rafa's list.

Owen if you go to Man Utd you will ruin anything that you still have at Liverpool. 9 million for a proven striker in the Prem and everywhere he's gone is a great deal and one i think Rafa should like at seriously

                  What?
We don't even know for sure if he did say it.
You gotta remember that ****loads of Spanish based players would absolutely LOVE to come to LFC. We are HUGE in Spain at the moment, and our continued success in Europe allied with the Spanish speaking contingent and the huge wages of the Premiership make us a really attractive destination.

What about Diego Milito? I've read great things about him and his record of late is phenomenal. There are rumours that Barca are after him - is he any use?

Oh right then i stand corrected. I would take him he's a good defender and chips in with goals

Whilst we are at it lets not bother buying a left winger because Kewell is fit and raring to go
