A £9m release clause in Newcastle forward Michael Owen's contract has alerted Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea. (Daily Mirror)
Real Zaragoza defender Gaby Milito has pleaded for the chance to join Liverpool after they lined up a £10m player-plus-cash deal involving Mark Gonzalez. (Daily Mirror)
It looks like Rafa will keep signing players he tried to sign before but could not afford. If this is true of course.
AF - If you keep posting every report from every website and newspaper from now until the close of the tfr window your w@nking arm will drop off. We will be linked with all sorts of players 99% of which will be bull****.
Is this 20 league goals, or 20 in all comps?? If its all comps I think he could do it. Rooney has what, 24 this year? And they're similar players. Tevez is likely to be a central figure wherever he goes as well, a la Rooney at United.
I agree (with AF too), I think Tevez will blossom next season, wheather that will be at West Ham or not. For a top four club he will easily get 20 goals in all competitions barring injuries.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.
Bas has appeared a few times on Soccer AM for his "abilities". Mainly for his considerable moonwalking skills.....certainly not for his footballing skills.
Bristol City signed him as a striker and he managed a remarkable tally of one goal in 23 games....thanks for that. He was turd. I watched him down the gate on a number of occasions and he was soo bad that he began to get a cult following. People would cheer his every move.
He is most famous for his last appearance for City, the last home game of the season (I was there)....poor Bas was fighting for a new contract, a stay of execution if you will. Again he was ineffective for the entire game, until the following moment when this happened.....his final chance to redeem himself:

So Rafa did have the chance to pull out of the deal, as I suspected Voronin was a longer term target.
"In a big shock for the Premiership and Spurs, Dimitar Berbatov will leave Tottenham not to join keen employers Chelsea or Man United, but he will join LFC!
In a crude move by Benitez, Rafa signed Voronin on a free knowing that he was a success with Berbatov for Leverkuzen, and Berbatov is a little tired of playing with players that do not match his class and wants to be playing Champions League football again. He sees playing with his old striking partner an excellent way of doing that, they know each others games inside out and as Berbatov will be cheaper than either Eto'o and Villa Rafa will snap up Berbatov especially as he has a seasons experience of the Premiership and has got used to the pace of it"
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

A quote, but from whom?

I can't wait for Owen to join Man United so every one see's him for the mercenary he is. I don't ever want him back and Rafa doesn't want him back....I wish people would just forget about him.

That actually makes more sense than any other justification for signing Voronin that I've heard so far
