I dont think he is dreaming.
after our bad start last year first 6 game, we were the best team in the league for the remainder. We dropped two points today, but it was always going to be a tough game, it meant alot to them, the squad is just starting to click now and Rafa will start putting out his best team more often, Just my opinion, but we are more than capeable of beatting chelsea this season. Just look at the face on Kuyt in my avatar, he doesnt look like a man who likes to loose lol.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

That picture in your avatar is scary!

I agree with you about todays game, it was United's cup final. If we had played them in 2 - 3 weeks at Brammall lane we'd beat them because our team would have settled in to a rythm by that point. As the season progresses we will get better.

You are one of those incredibly thick people that tries to be smart by posting what you fail to see are specious, irrelevant, predictable, and tedious responses. Worse still, you seem to actually genuinely believe you are the font of all wisdom, failing to catch the lingering whiff of your own bull****. After a deflating result, there is nothing wrong with lifting spirits a bit, especially when it's NOT based on blind optimism. Go ahead, piss on bonfires your whole life; all you're going to get is a burnt cock.

Oh and before you get all upset and throw your toys out the pram, I've said nothing to you that you haven't said to others who've provided zero provocation.

                  Ryan's just being realistic mate.

We haven't won the league for how long, phew, sixteen seasons.

We then drop points to a newly promoted side on the first day of the season whilst Man Utd are spunking all over Fulham and Chelsea look like they've got the strongest squad any league side has had for decades and decades.

Surely you can see why you piping up with 'we're gunna win the league' every five mins comes across as naively, some would say pathetically, optimistic.

The galactico treatment didn't work for Madrid why you so sure it'll work for these gits.It ain't gonna be the cakewalk everyone thinks it will be.Footie ain't about buying the best players and packing them into a team, its about buying the best players that you need for each position.Far too many big egos down there and it will cause problems, believe me.

                        Erm, yes it is.

Besides, their 'big egos' have won the title the past two seasons.

Why haven't Madrid won everything in sight for the last few years then.Because they bought all the best players they could without worrying where they would put them,or indeed if they even needed them.Barca don't have as many out and out superstars and yet have 2 leagues and the champions league.Which is my point on Chelsea. They have a lot of talent in they same positions, much more than the last 2 seasons.they can't keep them all happy,if they can they'll win but I think they'll have some bother.

This latest scattered amalgamation of spluttered thoughts is I'm afraid far cringey to read more than once.

I think you're trying to create a comparison between Madrid and Chelsea, which is fundamentally where your argument fails, seeing as the philosophy of (Jose Mourinho) and Chelsea in the transfer market, is entirely different to that of Madrid.

You also appear to be saying that Madrid are an example of how not to buy players, again a rather limp argument considering their success in lifting La Liga titles and European Cups during their 'galactico period' was second to none.

You think signing 'big names' such as Zidane, Ronaldo and Figo was an error ?

                            Their trophy cabinets suggest otherwise.

There's an awful lot more with your posts in this thread but it's getting late.

                            Cheers,

                            Jamo.

Oh please enlighten me almighty one.I think in your opinion the main area my argument fell down is because it dared to disagree with yours.the 3 you mentioned where successfull at the beginning, however the more indulgent their galactico spending became, the less and less capable they became of winning anything. It worked for a while,it hasn't for a lot longer.Their trophy cabinet for the last few years is empty despite the influx of the worlds best players which is where I think and hope Chelsea are heading.

Plus its pretty obvious I'm comparing the two so why do you only think I'm doing it.Their transfer polices before this year differed however I believe(opinion not fact you might notice) chelsea are moving in this direction and will continue to do so till they get the big one.

Got to say i totally agree with you mate as does everyone else i've spoken to about the chavs but remember this is an internet forum and people will twist an argument to suit their point.

As for the other poster who said they were second to none during their galactico era...to a point they were but they, like Chelsea are doing now, started to buy to many "superstars" and what happened then?
