OK. Now elaborate as to why you think this view is any less pathetic than predicting we will win it this season....

We've improved our squad since last season when we showed league winning form for sustained periods. To say it's pathetic and naive to predict we will win the league this season strikes me as remarkably pessimistic rather than just realistic.

Apart from any of the other top 4 teams, the newly promoted teams are the hardest fixtures you can get first game of the season. Especially at their ground. Sheffield United were probably more fired up for that match as they will be at anytime this season, playing at home, and playing Premier League football for the the first time in how many years.

Also, United & Chelsea haven't got, in financial terms at least, their biggest game of the season in midweek.

If the tables were turned and we had Fulham or City at home, and no game midweek, I think things might have been a little different.

You should get your head out of your arsehole. You think after one game we have neither the team nor the the stamina to win the title. That is your opinion and your entitled to it but above the entry to this forum it says "For Liverpool Fans... By Liverpool Fans!", It doesnt say "For Liverpool Fans......By Newcastle Fans!" So if your going to be a big whinging little poofter and start slagging my team off well then you should at least have the bollox to back your argument up instead of sounding like an OOT. We have pace and we have PROVEN quality upfront. We have possibly one of the best midfields in the world, add to that we have two of the finest CBs in the premiership with two classy looking replacements for the future, we have two of the most consistent full backs in the premiership last season and one of the finest keepers in the business. Oh, and we have Rafa so tell me were im going wrong here? Did i miss the ****ing happy boat?
Tell me why we have not got a team to compete becuase as far as im aware we have a better team than all of the challengers to the chavs "nailed on" title.
As far as im concerned as a die hard passionate redman, If you dont like the football we play then **** off and watch someone else. No one is forcing you to watch it, and if you do watch it, stop complaining.

I have EVERY right to complain my friend and nobody's forcing me to watch. I said we wont win the league a long time ago...Of course, that first game wont change my mind.

If you have read my posts on KT and other forums, I always said I think we wont win the league (unless a massive investment in the club) as long as Abramov**** is down there. Hopefully, I will be proved wrong, but thats very unlikely...
If saying so makes me a "Newcastle fan" then its another proof you have issues with your football murder...

Except the 2-3 usual insults, it was the best post i've seen from you..take them out of your posts and i might consider you as a "not too bad" poster...

What the dirty Russians have Le Chacal is a team full of prima donas. Ballack ****ted out of the match against Sissoko. Hows he gonna feel when he comes against players like that week in week out. Same goes for Sheva, although he looks like he will do well in the Prem. Yes Essien is a good player but he is no Makele and without Makele they will struggle or at least wont do as well as they have done. That is up to us to capitalise on any **** ups that they make.
Ignore Saturdays result. I know we were expected to stroll it but dont forget, the Chvs against Wigan first game of the season last year were LUCKY to win that one.
We will get more points on the board and the Russians will lose points.
