    Right on time Harry

Best winger we have when fit, which he hasnt been since he came, he let himself go and maybe his dream of been a liverpool player that will be remembered fondly. He looks to have lost the weight from what i read but would want to do a hell of alot next season(if he's still here) to get anywhere near been accepted by the Liverpool fans after hes disasterous 2 years with us.

Plus dump the wife shes a moaning bitch and has been feeding him too much

Since reading the title of this thread, I have had the following couplet running through my head. Sung by Harry Kewell to the tune of Herman Hermits' "I'm into something good" (written by Goffin/King):
"Woke up this mornin' feelin' fine
It's must be Champions' League Final time"
It's really annoying me so now hopefully it will start annoying some of you too.

      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

As funny (in a painful way) as it is that he's back just in time, if he's the best option we have then I don't give a **** that Zenden and Gonzalez played up until now. I want to win the Final, not be nice to a couple of mediocre players.

He is not good enough anymore. Fat and injury prone, and plus the fact that he has been out for almost the whole season with only 20 mins of competitive football under his belt.

coz he plays **** and the other player who had contributed to our cause should get the medal instead of this injury prone past-it left winger who will most likely be an unused option on the bench.

He´s not fat, I thought he looked better than he has ever before at Liverpool, Paco has done well with him. Plus this septic arthritis thingy is a freak injury really...he has been terribly unlucky IMO.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

That's bollox everyone knows he got it on purpose, so he could have all those ops and rehab. Its a conspiracy I tell you.
To top it off he's a bloody Aussie, you know they have a in built criminal tendency ( genetics ) is this case fraud.

Absolute Rubbish there mate. When fit, such as last season, is easily the best winger at the club and also, one of the best wingers in the premiership.
OK he may have lost some of his pace but he has fantastic crossing ability and has a very good football brain which you cant buy.
This is also where i believe Mark Gonzalez needs to improve - his decision making, which at the moment isn't great

It would be a joke and a travesty if he starts in the final. If he does, then there needs to be serious questions asked of Rafa's judgement.

Absolutely ludicrous this is. Do any of you think he's match-fit? Jesus.

The physios said that he is in his best shape ever.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                          Liverpool's Kewell ready for Athens
                          tribalfooball.com - May 11, 2007

Liverpool ace Harry Kewell has declared himself fit for the UEFA Champions League final.

Kewell made his long awaited return from injury as a substitute in last weekend's defeat at Fulham.

The former Leeds man has seen this season blighted by injury after returning from the World Cup with groin and foot problems.

"I've been working hard over the last eight weeks," Kewell told ESPN.

"We did testing the other day, everything went well.

"The manager's happy, the assistant manager's happy, the fitness coaches are happy, so it's literally down to the manager.

"I'm feeling as close to 100 per cent as I've ever felt before in my life, the only thing I'm missing is competitive games."
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

The only other viable option would be Arbeloa left back and Riise left mid, but I thought Riise's kick and rush style of beating a man put him out of his depth in Istanbul.

Odd as it is to say it, I couldn't really criticise a decision to play him there. He's probably the best option available at the moment if fit.
I couldn't agree more with that post Al, especially considering the disappointment with Gonzalez so far.

"The only thing missing is competitive games". That's a pretty bloody big thing to be missing ahead of a EUROPEAN CUP FINAL!

An impact sub - fair enough (like Robbie). The idea of starting him is utterly ridiculous though.
