Thanjk you.

We totally out-played a very good Milan side (one which made Manchester United look like complete chumps, only a couple of weeks back), for 44 minutes, only to go in a (very lucky) goal down at half time.
We had a rough 10 minutes at the start of the 2nd half, but after that, played some good football, but as the game went on, we got more desperate, and HAD to go more attacking, thus opening up space for Milan to attack us.
This was always a very likely outcome, but they were changes that needed to be made, were we to have any chance of getting back into the game.
Rafa did no wrong tonight, (team selection, tactics and substitutions were all spot on), IMO, and neither did the team.
The only thing we were lacking, was REAL quality up front, and I'm sure we'll address this issue come the summer.
I'm proud of Liverpool tonight, and I feel we were hard done to, but hey... that's football!
best post since we lost, ive whined and bitched for an hour now and that post hit a nerve, on that note im off to bed to dream....walk on my brothers & sisters. I love you all.
We got to the Uefa Champions League Final with the whole of Europe envious, I'd rather lose there than in the semis.
We finished 4th, I'd rather be there than mid table.
The players in our time have done us proud, and dare I say gone to the limit of their capabilities. Many of whom will be shipped out or become squad players.
Can anyone not see we have the basis of a world class team? 2 wingers and a striker of top quality and we are there...
E.g. I'd rather be Liverpool than Arsenal today. Only 2 teams can get to the biggest final of them all and we were one of them, someone has to lose.

We didn't disgrace ourselves tonight against one of our fellow UEFA special badge wearing/European Cup owning 'friends' - being the dominant team in a 2-1 defeat is not a humiliation by any means. Just think how much worse we'll have all felt tonight if those scabby mancs ****s had played us and beaten us in that way.
One point I will make though as a slight nudge to Rafa - we have to have a title challenge next season, we've got money to spend so no excuses.

we`ve had excuses with missing out on Alves and Simoa due to lack of funds, now rafa gets who HE wants.

spot on mate.
We played really well tonight but lady luck deserted us with their goal. Rafa as usual was tactically spot on. With a top striker or 2 and a left winger we will be a real threat to all teams in all competitions. I'm gutted we lost because we were unlucky but we couldn't ask for more from the players.
