Hi mate.

IMO, Kewell wouldn't have been fit enough to play the 90 mins, and I feel Gerrard was placed best where he was.

He looked dangerous throughout, and if it wasn't for some "Uncharateristic Gerrard Finishing" on a couple of occasions, it could have been oh so different.

He had a couple of decent half chances, that on another day, could have been in the back of the net.

Gerrard is an amazing player, that IMO, is best used as a central midfielder, with a license to roam,.

it is possible that had he started, Kewell could have created so much more when we were dominating (Bolo didn't). That way we could have got 1-0 or 2-0 up taken him off and protected the lead. Gerrard looked lost in the 2nd half - he didn't know what to do. No support coming from central midfield or wide areas. The 2nd half passed him by.

I'm so please that Kuyt's dad got to see him score in a CL Final.

We got to the Uefa Champions League Final with the whole of Europe envious, I'd rather lose there than in the semis.

We finished 4th, I'd rather be there than mid table.

The players in our time have done us proud, and dare I say gone to the limit of their capabilities. Many of whom will be shipped out or become squad players.

Can anyone not see we have the basis of a world class team? 2 wingers and a striker of top quality and we are there...

E.g. I'd rather be Liverpool than Arsenal today. Only 2 teams can get to the biggest final of them all and we were one of them, someone has to lose.

Im so calm (and drunk) i thought we played okay, have nothing to be ashamed of and i completely missed the fact that what i would consider to be the decider - was a handball..... like i say though - harsh criticims coming out based on this fact - we lost to a handball deflection. The fine line between ecstasy and a wanky whinge online about tctics and managers and who we should buy......
