he is good but he's small and weak, a bit like jesus navas from seville, which is not what we need. look at reyes a brilliant striker/winger at seville and arse paid over the odds for him but he couldnt adapt.

ribery would be the best option imo.

          WE NEED MATCHWINNERS!!!
He is better than any of the other wingers here and he has all the quality to become one of the leading wingers around. His crossing and quality dribbling imo would be enough to merit him a place in our starting 11. Apart from players like Giggs, Vicente etc (a handful of others) in that bracket I don't really see the rest of wingers in the world being much above of what Puerta is capable of being.

Correct decision by Rafa. Good luck to Speedy.

unfortunately regardless of whether they give their all or not some of the current sqaud simply arent good enough, into that category id put - speedy, pennant, bellers (even though id like for him to have been given a better run), dudek, cisse and all the others, le tallec etc. Maybe even kuyt & xabi but more so as good business as opposed as lacking the required quality....id like a major overhaul please.

I wont be sad to see either of them go. Had great hopes for Gonzo but has left us down. He'll end up been a hit back in La Liga but the Prem isnt the place for him

Well, it's not very hard to be better than our current lot, is it?

Also, if he's so outstanding, why is Adriano (who is good but not *that* good) ahead of him at Sevilla?

                  We'll see.

Adriano has more pace and strength to his game. I wouldn't say his better technically but has enjoyed superb form this season, I don't think you can deny that. Puerta is being eased into it moreso in the last couple of seasons whilst Adriano being around the same age already came to Sevilla with experence. Both are very good players. Didn't say he was outstanding just that he has the potential to become it.

Fine seeing that you are so against the idea of Puerta, who would you prefer?

Cant really believe how this has worked out for Gonzalez. All that hype, all that promise. I even got him on the back of my shirt.

Bit annyoyed hes been kicked out when that **** Bellamy is still here.

Bellamy will be gone soon enough, I'd imagine.

Shame, I thought he's have done better for us. He has far more quality in him than we got to see, whatever you think of him as a person.

I was really pleased with the Bellamy signing, the lad has shown that he can be a difference maker in the Prem, abeit for slightly lesser clubs, and I had high hopes for him in those away games @ the likes of Pompey and Bolton which we always struggle to win. It just hasn't quite happened for him at Anfield though, he'll do well for a Villa or Blackburn in the future though.

At least, unlike in previous seasons, we're actually going to make a profit on quite a few of the players expected to be off. Gonzales, Bellamy, Alonso/Sissoko/Crouch (if any of them do go), and several others are all probably worth more now than when we signed them, which is a pleasant change for us.
