Not liking the reports coming out from Athens

Not good - will be interesting to hear the views of people who were there

• Fans pickpocketing/mugging other fans
• Including a family with 2 kids!
• Fans storming the gates
• People getting in with forgeries meaning people with tickets didn't get in

Apparently the gates were closed 10 minutes before kick-off because the stadium was 'full'. Feel really sorry for anyone who had a proper ticket and didn't get in.

I hope the ****ing idiots who stormed the gates got a good kicking from the Greek police.

Yup, when my radio alarm went off (5live) the first words I heard were Liverpool/Fans/Disgraceful and I just turned it off again. It's one thing losing a football game as fans, another to be disgracing the name of the club. But it's best to wait and hear substantiating reports.

The sky report I heard was also cautious/sensitive about their words and attributing 'blame', but said the same thing.

Unfortunately, this probably won't change at all. UEFA are spineless ****s, just like the <insert any footballing body> and that's the way it is. The ticket allocation was a joke, but there's nothing one can do about it right now - hopefully something will change, but I doubt it.

Its bang out of order that scum - and thats what they are - SCUM - would travel all that way to balcken the name of the club and its fans - These SCUM have no right to go near the stadium if they don't have a ticket. I know 2 people that spend nearly 8000 euros between them to go see this match and had legitimate tickets but did not get it - people with no tickets forced their way in and people who were there early got in without tickets. Its a disgrace and I hope the SCUM that they are get what's coming to them - They are ****ing NOT Liverpool fans. ******S

I got a text from a mate who was there last night with a real ticket.

He said they were letting 1 in 60 through and they brought the CS gas out. He said he even saw the best punch he's ever seen to see a copper get knocked out. He never got in

Also Sky showed the flare up between the 2 sets of fans watching it on the big screen it's not good.

I think it's just a real shame that in this day and age only 17000 tickets or however much get allocated to one team's fanbase for the Final of All Finals. It's a ****ing joke. And why UEFA continue to chose unsuitable venues is beyond me and the average joe, corporate ****s, the lot of 'em.

Calm down alun, I fully agree and sympathise with you. Ultimately, it was UEFA's fault (which months ago already caused Parry to come out with the 'ticket scheme bound to cause trouble') but at the end of the day, there's nothing one could do yesterday but try to get a ticket and into the ground. Unfortunately, the UEFA seem to have no clue as to how to manage an event of this magnitude. They seem completely detached from the reality of a normal fan's team-supporting plight and it's just a real shame.
