Moscow is not nice, my girlfriend used to live there, it has about a day of things worth seeing, St Petersberg is much much nicer.

Yeah, Moscow has a few nice bits but in general its mainly like trying to cross a motorway 20 times in one day, it is not the nicest place. Most of the women look like that have had 400 years of depression.

i think everyone and i mean everyone was caught off guard by the lack of actual tickets on the ground. ive been everywhere and that was the tightest (real) ticket ever to be had. whether you like it or not, whether its right or wrong, lads from liverpool are going to travel without tickets. rick parry says he informed uefa the previous week to expect up to 5000 forgeries. in all honesty and if you were there, would you not agree that the security was a joke. with the information they were armed with ? imho i think the surge of the gates was by a combination of people with tickets, people with forged tickets, people without tickets and the mundane ass backwards proccess of access to the stadium, with the kick off approaching. The glove, imo has the most experience on this site when it comes to safety and access to a stadium. we were 3 rows apart from each other and just kept shaking our heads. the police lost complete control of the situation. its easy to point fingers at scousers but make no mistakes about it, every walk of life was involved. 4 greek lads from olympiacas stood beside me, thats how pathetic it was.
everything is a lesson to be learned but uefa dident listen, they have continued to engage in the blame game, they dont care. as long as the ***** from mastercard, sony, heineken or any other corporate **** continues to bring caviar to the table, the proper fan will always be at the bottom of the food chain. now this doesent condone some of the actions taken from the ****house element at our club, snatching fans tickets and pissing on people is not a football problem its a social problem. rick parry, uefa and no one else can sort that. sadly the rules are changing, a few lads bunking in here and there to stand with theyre mates has been overtaken by these young bandwagon ***** with blatant disregard for anyone and the cheekiness has been pushed aside for arrogance, violence and flat out thuggery. as for the warnings about moscow, like the banner says about galatasaray "you think this is hell, try the grafton on a friday night". liverpool fans in particular scousers are not intimidated by any of that ****. a well thought out plan for the safety of everyone is needed and not squads of the red army. all said and done, we still have to get there.
last but not least, its a shame uefa cant treat everyone like they treated the corporates, free ale, free food and FORD picking up and dropping them off at the stadium. just like there is no excuse for thuggery, there is no excuse for corporate priveledge.

I'm with you 100% ST. Anyone that gets picked up in one of those corporate cars should be shot. No one likes them, they're all a bunch of ****ing assholes and they ruin the game.

In fact, kill them all. Nothing a good hanging wouldn't fix I say!!!!!

By the way, here's a picture I took of Kym loading our bags into our ride from the airport.

Top post. But unfortunately we all know the people that run the game will just tut at the fans then bury their heads in the sand.

                        HAHA ST.

I've said it before on here... my mate in Athens was one of the head volunteers for the game. Not security, just helping out.

Couldn't resist the ride from the airport, you'd have done the same.
