there is more to this than just Parry. Parry IMO is just a messenger now, nothing more, I doubt the yanks after seeing how Parry has run things that they will be impressed with his management skills. A messenger is all Parry is now, he will advise the new owners as a middle man between themselvs and Rafa, because our new owners dont know enough about football and LFC and what it takes to compete in the ultra competitive and hungry European transfer market.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I had a similar conversation with my boss during the week, about clients of ours (developers) they dont have a company name, just two names to work with, through experience it is hard to work with. My boss was telling me about another two clients of ours who work together. One agreed to gpay my boss money for a certain job, then my boss was talking to the other, and he was like what! had no idea of the deal that was agreed. Almost makes me think back to the GH and Evans partnership. people need to know who exactly is in charge.
G & H need a company name, LFC seems a very obvious choice, but the boardroom need to be sorted, or should I say assembled. and I think we are still some way off having that harmony yet.

Good post. I've worked for a big 5 consultancy firm in the US and believe me the politics on show here are trivial compared to the games that go on over here.

To be honest G&T are lucky that they have a manager like Rafa who will cut through the BS and tell them EXACTLY what they need to do to succeed.

I wish Rafa worked for my firm

Parry seems to **** up every summer it seems but to be honest he did bring in rafa and has negotiated some really good deals in the past.

Is it time for rick parry to go on his annual holiday?

I was just thinking that, Rafa is exactly the type of attitude we need as a chief exec. hubngry, determined, and will take no **** to get what is best.

Irony is it's probably going to be the first year he doesn't move from his desk to go on holiday!
...For fear he'll return to a load of brown removal boxes with a "shut the door on your way out" message scrawled on one.

Not quite, but I sdid work for Bechtel who tried to ship me out to Iraq. If I'd gone (rather than doing my PhD), I'd have ended up as one of the human shields

BTW as I am sure you assume I am a 'heartless capitalist etc etc'

This is all getting very worrying. Something just isn't right. The next few weeks could be crucial for next season never mind the long term future of the club.

Indeed. A miserable week all round for the club.
The ticket fiasco at the stadium, delayed flights, flights that never even went out,

It's just been such a rollercoaster. On Wednesday the future was very bright. A couple of days later and it transpires we're in turmoil.

Why is it never ****ing straightforward with us?

The mere mention of Tal Ben Haim in a LFC article is the most worrying aspect of this furore.
