He'd be quality backup. Got no problem with us being linked to him. We can't spend huge amounts to bring in world class players in positions that aren't a problem. He'd be a good signing for any of the top four as a third choice CB.

To be fair, mate, you have no idea whether it's not as bad as you imagine, do you? I'm not trying to pick holes in your argument but your theory is based on guess work where as the like of Chris Bascombe have their information, information that doesn't sound very good for the club, first hand.

I disagree. Against pace and the top quality teams he looks decidedly poor. **** it, he's gash... i'd prefer Phil Babb came out of retirement than us signing this hack.

That's fair enough but in light of the stories that are emerging you have less to base your common sense on. To be fair to you following Liverpool for 30 years hardly qualifies you to know what's happening behind the scenes now.

                Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

CALM DOWN, CALM DOWN! All this is a media circus which has been blown out of all proportion....I have just spent the past few hours reading and rereading, listening to and dissecting all the comments/interviews and basically Rafa has said I want transfers and i want them sooner reather than later as in the past the club has been shambolic in its dealings and its bloody well cost us, the yanks have said its all good but Rafa wants them to back that up with actions.
Its that simple. I imagine that behind the scenes the activity is huge and I bet anyone of you guys that by 1 week monday we will be announcing at least 1 MAJOR tfr. Then its all sweetness and light.....****ing media *******s trying to drive a wedge into us again, thats all it is.
(Obviously Rafa has been in a bad mood all week hence the quotes and interviews and as its a quiet time the media have used that to their advantage)
                  CHEER UP GUYS!!!

One of tmorrows papers have said that tere was an "emergency clear the air meeting between Rafa and our new owners." Not sure what paper or the specifics of the story though.

Its on the back of most papers (not main story) saying that Rafa isn't happy with the yanks and one said they will have an emergancy meeting another said the yanks arn't happy with Rafa.

But Bascombe is anything but a sensationalist journo trying to drive us apart.

I'm calm but I'm merely pointing out the information we have rather than using guess work to back myself up.

I saw the bit about the emergency meeting but never saw any of the other snippets. Especially the bit about the yanks being unhappy with Rafa. What paper was that in?

If Benitez goes we move on. The club is far more important than any individual. Always has been, always will be...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.
