Let's be honest if you believe whats being said around the place about Chelski Arse and the Mancs, we are probably in the best position to buy well this summer.
I know the Mancs have already spent 50mill but I think on players who are probably a big risk and over valued/over rated.

I said recently I have concerns about these guys but I suppose we'll have to see what happens over the course of the next two or three years.

Everyone assumes Rafa was attacking Parry recently but there is another explanation. After all there is currently a power vacuum at the club in terms of its day-to-day running, at least until Gillett Junior appears. Parry does not call the shots any more, if he ever really did.

I am an old cynic I know so I hope I'm the one who is wrong for not succumbing to Hicks' and Gillett's wooing through the media.

Hey mate, I've actually heard completely different reviews from people on the t'other side of the pond that Gillett has been exceptional with Montreal Canadiens and has helped them to grow into one of the biggest teams/franchises in the sport.
That he is extremely well respected by the fans.
I have to say what I have seen so far I have been impressed with but time will tell and fairly quickly by all accounts.

i think Rafa may well spend all his budget on Eto'o. On top of that presumably he'd have any cash from sales as well. with momo, Cisse, Speedy, Kewell, Bellamy etc all up for grabs that could easily raise another £30m for Rafa to use.

I agree, exactly how many players do we need this season. For me its not quantity but quality

Defence is ok, CM is ok

Wingers and a forward that can score.

Selling Bellamy, Speedy should get the winger we need.

rest of the budget on an Eto/Villa player.

Rafa's already brought in a lot of players on the cheap or free.

I have lost count on the number of times Bascombe has said that we can't expect that the club would spend big on a player or that Eto'o, Tevez or Alves is a target. He can say one thing one day and then the next day almost contradict himself 100% to what he said before.

The Echo says they have done **** in the Stanley Cup only reaching the 2nd round twice since 2000.

Nope. Our season finished 10 days ago and we have signed a few players you know.
