Let's be honest if you believe whats being said around the place about Chelski Arse and the Mancs, we are probably in the best position to buy well this summer.
I know the Mancs have already spent 50mill but I think on players who are probably a big risk and over valued/over rated.

Although he did say that Hicks, has had a go at the fans of his American teams as to why they cant be lke the fans on the Kop.

          Interesting.

I said recently I have concerns about these guys but I suppose we'll have to see what happens over the course of the next two or three years.

Everyone assumes Rafa was attacking Parry recently but there is another explanation. After all there is currently a power vacuum at the club in terms of its day-to-day running, at least until Gillett Junior appears. Parry does not call the shots any more, if he ever really did.

I am an old cynic I know so I hope I'm the one who is wrong for not succumbing to Hicks' and Gillett's wooing through the media.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Hey mate, I've actually heard completely different reviews from people on the t'other side of the pond that Gillett has been exceptional with Montreal Canadiens and has helped them to grow into one of the biggest teams/franchises in the sport.
That he is extremely well respected by the fans.
I have to say what I have seen so far I have been impressed with but time will tell and fairly quickly by all accounts.

Bascombe quotes some yank journos laying into them and comments on how their teams are basically ****. Basically how, they came in, told everyone what they wanted to hear then put prices up and thats generally it. I cant be arsed moving to get the thing but it'll be on line later anyway. ****ing thing came at 20 past 9 this morning. 20 past 9?? ****s sake, woke me up.

I agree, exactly how many players do we need this season. For me its not quantity but quality

Defence is ok, CM is ok

Wingers and a forward that can score.

Selling Bellamy, Speedy should get the winger we need.

rest of the budget on an Eto/Villa player.

Rafa's already brought in a lot of players on the cheap or free.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

I have a few Canadian mates who are big into the Ice Hockey, even I think played at some decent level, living in Ireland now but have said to me that he has done great things with them and that the Canadiens have come from nowhere to reaching a couple of Stanley cup Finals I think (I was drinking when we were talking about this ).
Anyhoo I was up at 7.45 so I have **** all sympathy for you as I am presently working.

most journos assumed our first signing would be in the bag by the end of this week and it was assumed that was Malouda yet Lyon say there has been no bid for him.All talk no action?

I have lost count on the number of times Bascombe has said that we can't expect that the club would spend big on a player or that Eto'o, Tevez or Alves is a target. He can say one thing one day and then the next day almost contradict himself 100% to what he said before.

                      Smokescreens.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

The Echo says they have done **** in the Stanley Cup only reaching the 2nd round twice since 2000.

                        Working? Yeah yeah.

Is it not worrying that nothing is happening on transfers?

We all assumed. That is the problem mate. Proves no one knows anything.

Nope. Our season finished 10 days ago and we have signed a few players you know.

Or maybe trying to make sure we all keep our feet on the ground?
