Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

He's a strong fella this Voronin but an ugly ******* altogether.
Good player though, seems to have very good movement and decent pace, good touch and an eye for a shot. Will be good cover for our centre forwards.
As for Malouda, he's a class act no doubt about it. Clever and neat little player.
I've a feeling Voronin will suprise some people. He's coming with completely the opposite expectations that people had of Gonzales say, and as long as he doesn't have some realy bad games early on, I think he might suprisingly become a bit of a cult hero at Anfield

What tale shall serve me here among

Voronin is the new Erik Meijer. FACT...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

From what I've seen, he's much much better than Meijer. He's strong, fast, puts in a lot of work and has a good touch add to that good movement and awareness of players around him. The french commentary team, including Arsene Wenger were all raving about him as Ukraine's most dangerous player in that first half.

You sure mate? I agree with the other points but he is not the quickest lad around
