He's no slouch either. He's fast for sure but no Craig Bellamy. He'll surprise a few people I'd say.

anyone think that his move to us, has given him a renewed confidence in himself and an extra incentive to improve his game? it certainly seems that way.Originally posted by fredo View Post
I've been impressed really. Never saw him play before that. He's been playing alone upfront and was Ukraine's best player in that first half.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I definately think he'll surprise a few people but i don't think he'll be involved in many games, like Fowler. But he's a very very good squad playerOriginally posted by fredo View PostHe's no slouch either. He's fast for sure but no Craig Bellamy. He'll surprise a few people I'd say.

Well, he played for an average team (Bayer Leverkusen), and some players flourish when they have better players around him, and he's certainly done that for that match tonight, and playing in a big game.Originally posted by bazza76 View Postanyone think that his move to us, has given him a renewed confidence in himself and an extra incentive to improve his game? it certainly seems that way.
I'm much more confident that we've got ourselves a good player now.

My only slight worry with Malouda is his tendancy to drift in. Obviously this will lead to him getting chances and goals, but it may result in a lack of width, especially if Gerrard starts on the right.Originally posted by fredo View PostI think he's a fantastic player. Plays short one touch football, works hard and is quick. He'll be a fantastic addition if we can pull this one off.Last edited by stevie_gerrard_8; 02-06-07, 09:03 PM.Javier Mascherano: 'I want to be settled and kill myself on the pitch so the team wins lots of games'

He's strong, fast, puts in a lot of work and has a good touch add to that good movement and awareness of players around him. The french commentary team, including Arsene Wenger were all raving about him as Ukraine's most dangerous player in that first half.Originally posted by fredo View Post
