UEFA have shifted blame, I hope the club don’t try to do the same (I’m sure they will)
Good point mate, and exactly my views since the beginning.

Well it's all a matter of opinions i guess. Mine, for what it's worth, is that the whole organisation was just wrong. The location of the stadium was a joke. The facilities outside the ground were a joke, security was a joke. I could go on but other posters have argued the same points in other posts.

although the source is highly dubious, it's a case of history repeating itself and the whole of europe will now believe it to be true and, once again, leave it up to genuine, decent reds to try and rebuild our reputation.

bunking in has been part of the culture for yeras and as has been said before, the culture needs to change.

here's a very interesting post that was put up on the day of the chelsea semi-final on another LFC forum.

All this talk of bunking in ...

        Forget it. This isn't 1981.

We've had enough trouble this season with jumpers and bunkers - the two PSV away games were a disgrace. Just how does it sit with your conscience to wear a 'Justice' sticker whilst forcing your way over a turnstile and crushing fellow Reds, when trying to bunk in?

Respect the memory of the 96 - if you haven't got a ticket watch it on the ****ing tele.

All we need is one incident involving ticketless fans and we give the scum at Woodison and OT - all the ****s at the FA, The S*n, SWFC and SYP - all the ammo they need to continue their sick Hillsborough taunts.

now while i agree with the sentiments and everything said, i must confess that i bunked in for that match but not in the way described there and if i didn't have a ticket for a game as crucial as that i'd try me hand. i'm not proud of me actions but i wanted to be there on what was a special european night at anfield.

i bet you'll find someone who did the same for the st etienne match in 77. not many but you'll find at least one person who did that.

what happened in athens, from what mates who were there have told me, made the problems at psv away look minor.

there's a difference between jumping in with yer mate on a double click and pulling up fences and trampling on yer own fans.

merseyside police are compiliing a report on their officers view on the events over there. i just hope the facts are established this time and aren't left down to a myth like heysel has been.

**** Platini he is a tosser. Ban the ****ing dirty ****ing Italians they are ****ing scum, strip them of the World cup that should shut them up. I hate that American **** on talksport who pretends to be Italian Marcotti he is a ******.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every team has it's elements, but having been away in Europe with Liverpool a few times - we do have quite a few scallies not just causing trouble but acting anti-social. Stealing "souveniers", having a laugh, generally trying to get in free etc. I am certain every other club has them too but obviously don't know. It can be quite dangerous especially before the game. Away games in Europe remind me of football in the old days.

UEFA would say all this though, wouldn't they? If they hadn't they'd be admitting that it was them who ****ed up and that's something that those pricks will never do.

Let's not forget though - if it wasn't for us - the Attaturk and the Olympic Stadium would have both been half empty for their showpiece final. I didn't hear them complaining when they were taking our money.

He's a complete knob jockey is Gaillard. Him and Platini probably spend their days slamming each others dicks in the desk drawers for fun. I think it would be a smashing idea if the so called worst fans in Europe invited him over to the Sandon one night, to see first hand we're not a bunch of violent yobbos. Of course, I'm sure there would be one loon in the crowd - that would be a shame for Monsiuer Gaillard. Still, this tells us they will be looking for any excuse to throw the book at us and kick us out - obviously we're a bit too successful for their liking.

there are two things to consider here:

                          1) Since 2003 (including the super cup) we have been involved in more away games in Europe than any other team. We also have a far bigger away support than most. Thereforeby the law of averages I would expect us to be involved in more "incidents" than anyone else. What they don't mention is the severity of these incidents but they do say that nobody has been hurt. therefore for the majority of these incidents I would guess were more high spirits.

2)However we cannot get away from the fact that we have some pricks that follow us just as everyone else does. I have seen this first hand yet when its mentioned by an "outsider" they are pricks and it is the clubs fault, UEFA's fauly, my granny's next door neighbours cats fault etc etc. **** that its the pricks we have to stop. I see comments regarding going in without tickets ad "yes but we wanted to be there". Well I have news for you. So did the poor ****ers that actually had tickets that weren't allowed in.

UEFA president Michel Platini will hand the controversial dossier to Britain's Sports Minister Richard Caborn in Brussels on Tuesday.

UEFA spokesman William Gaillard said: "We have an independent police report mentioning 25 incidents since 2003 caused by Liverpool fans away from home. That's the most of any team in Europe. We should all be very pleased that no one was hurt."

The report follows an investigation into violence that marred the Champions League final in Athens and accuses the Kop fans of causing most of the trouble.

Scores of fans with genuine tickets were denied entry to the Olympic Stadium in Athens last month.

Hundreds of others holding forgeries managed to get in to see Liverpool's 2-1 defeat by AC Milan.

Gaillard added: "We had 102 flags in the stadium, but by the time the game began there were only two left. People climbed up amid incredible danger in order to steal them, and we know a majority were Liverpool fans."

A senior UEFA insider told the News of the World that Caborn would have "serious food for thought" after reading a "thick dossier" on the disorder in the stadium.

Liverpool will mount a strong defence of their fans and point out they submitted their own report to UEFA before the final, highlighting their serious concerns about crowd control.

You only need to compere Istanbul and Athens.

We didn't get a single complaint after Istanbul because the Turkish police knew how to organize a CL final.

The Greek police didn't organize anything. No turnstiles, poor ticket control and so on.

Of course you will get pissed fans when they are not let in to watch the game even that they have a valid ticket. They paid very much money for that ticket and even more to travel to Athens. The question is how the hell could they let in supporters with very bad fake tickets. That is the problem that started everything.

I would have been pissed off if I had paid over £1k for everything and can't get in to watch my dream game because the police messed things up.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
