Yes of course it is, the vast majority of Liverpool fans are fine but like in all walks of life...there's always going to be a shower of ****s and it just takes a few fans to ruin the clubs reputation. That's what i'm trying to say.

          This is ****ing unreal.

Outrageous comments from UEFA, trying to drag our name through the mud in public to save their own skins.

We really should have made a massive banner in Athens saying "Give us our game back UEFA" or "UEFA=Touts" or something.....there's **** all we can do now.

Let's just hope Parry hits back with something big tomorrow.

The layout and location of the ground was also a joke. Half a dozen street vendors selling luke warm beer or stone cold kebabs in the middle of a wasteland which was a minimum 30 minute taxi ride from the centre of Athens.

As for trouble, 200 of us were dropped off at the Milan end and walked to the ground with the Milan fans, no trouble whatsoever. Get to the Liverpool end and it's a complete bottle neck ( two hours before the game! )

I'm not even going to mention the complete lack of public toilet facilities as i'm more than happy to piss up against a wall but not ideal for woman and kids is it!?

I could go on all day about it but as i've said it's the worse atmosphere i've ever experienced at a football match and only a small percentage of blame can be laid at the feet of the mindless minority of fans who tried to bunk into the ground.
              Bang on.

thats not the issue is it tho Marky, we all know that there's dickheads supporting every club who will always try and drag the clubs good name down, but it's the fact that we're touted as having the worst fans, when you've got the likes of the Turks and Italians who have much more violent support than we do. Let's be realistic here no one died did they or receive serious injurys, lets count the incidents were police and officials get attacked or fans get knifed and killed in other leagues or other english teams, but UEFA and the dicks in charge conveniently forget that.

By keeping this in the media we will be providing more opportunities for UEFA to say:

a/ We mugged other LFC fans.
b/ We attacked other LFC fans.

All of which is true and there is no case we can make against it. There is no upside, for us, to keeping this in the press. Mark it down to experience and move on.

Thats why I'm suggesting we make our points directly to UEFA and boycott their sponsors

As far as I'm concerned saying nothing is not an option.

UEFA cant get away with kind of stuff.

Yes agree, there's no way we're the worst fans when you have the likes of Galatasary, Roma etc involved in European games most seasons.
All i'm saying is we shouldn't give them anything to complain, fabricate and generally over-react to, that's all.

OK. We'll agree to disagree then.

Problem is you just can't legislate for how policing is going to be when you get to these places. I mean lets take Liverpool for instance 30/40k fans from both clubs each week and it's not very often we hear of troubles at all, sure you get the odd dick head in town all tanked up wanting to take everyone on, but asside from that we don't have trouble mainly because the police here know how to control these situations and the fans know that so it's not often they try it on. But fly so many thousand miles into europe where there isn't adequate policing and security and your just asking for trouble, sure our support should still behave but let's face it we're in the real world here and that just doesn't happen.
