This is what Gaillard had to say before the match - what a prat!!
Now that is something that could really be used in a response by Liverpool.

      Dear Mr Platini,

I email regarding your report about Liverpool fans being “The Worst In Europe” based on alleged findings by a “neutral” undercover force being used in the last few years and the exception in which I take these comments.

Whilst I am happy to admit, the debacle that was this years Champions League final in Athens was partly due to a minority of Liverpool fans, the way in which it appears you seems to show Liverpool fans in general is somewhat lacking in respect for the general fan.

It seems as though you as an organisation will use any excuse as some form of blanket for your own shortcomings in organising what is supposed to be the pinnacle of club football in Europe (and if I am being honest, the world!).

Again, the fans are being pretty much wholly blamed for incidents that should also be blamed on lack of organisational skills on the part of UEFA.

We must note that this season alone, there have been incidents involving fans from numerous non English clubs that have caused some rather unsavoury incidents in you competitions this year. Most notably, Roma against Manchester United and Sevilla against Tottenham Hotspur.

Do you choose to make full blow reports on these incidents, I think not!

Please for once stop trying to deflect criticism from your organisation and accept your responsibility to the general fan. After all, you do get handsomely rewarded for it by SONY, HEINEKEN, MASTERCARD and various other corporate sponsors.

      Maybe for the future you can take on board some of the following suggestions that appear to be the general consensus across Europe from ALL fans of the game to avoid the incidents at this years final;

      1. Select a stadium that is BUILT for football

      2. Ensure this stadium has a capacity that can hold as many fans as possible without having to restrict seating so you can gain more revenue

      3. Ensure tickets go to the 2 teams participating in the final with only a few being given to the residents of the city hosting said final

      4. Ensure tickets going to corporate clients are used by said clients

      5. Ensure your tickets have proper security on them and are not easily forged

      6. Ensure the local police know how to handle large events in this type of sport and have respect for the rights of other human beings

Please also remember that you should be showing ALL local associations that things must be done correctly. I get the feeling that had the disgraceful incident that happened to Anders Frisk, happened at say Anfield, Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge or The Emirates Stadium that sure enough, there would have been the severest sanctions taken against the relevant English club. You seem to not too bothered by incident involving non English clubs at all. Maybe you feel that all your shortcomings in recent years can be pushed behind a veil of maybe Heysel in 1985, and it would not surprise me if you dared to mention Hillsborough, under the current climate and try to leverage as much cover for your organisation from that.

Now I am of the understanding that you as the new President of UEFA have some strong views regarding the way in which the Champions League should move forward with regards to the rules governing the participation of the number of teams from each country. Dare I suggest that you take this view with the way in which some members of your organisation go about their daily work. By this, I point the finger firmly at Mr William Gaillard. This man is supposed to communicate your finding / details to a Europe wide audience. This is the man that in 2005 said that regardless of Liverpool winning the Champions League, under no circumstances would they be playing in the following seasons competition as they finished fifth in their league. He also stated that there would be no rule changes to allow this! I wonder what happened next? We all know, the rules were changed and Liverpool did participate! I suggest a replacement be found for him as soon as possible because as the public face of UEFA he is quickly becoming the laughing stock of PR Men!

In finishing, I say again, I do not condone the actions of a minority of fans at this years final, but it seems to blur the line between what is right and wrong on a corporate level. You have an obligation to ensure that the above 6 points are carried out as a necessity each year.

I hope that whoever reaches the final in Moscow next year has an enjoyable trip with none of the problems from this year. UEFA have a duty to ensure this happens.
      Dare we believe

We need to bombard (sp) UEFA with threats of a boycot and also threaten the club that until the top brass at LFC start defending us fans and sticking it to the man (UEFA) they will see a vast DECREASE in tickets and merchandise. They would soon buck up their ideas.
I for one would HATE to do that to our own club but we need to make a ****ing stand and Parry and Co. aint doing jack ****. And I bet Parry has known about this story breaking for a few days now but has decided to sit on his hands for whatever reason. Possibly all the talk of him getting the chop could have something to do with it imo.

No doubt the vast majority of our fans are reasonable, law abiding people, but unfortunately amongst our followers we include the sort of person who would batter a Bulgarian waiter half to death and then let someone else take the rap. Perhaps that is one of the 25 incidents in the report.
            Liverpool FC über alles.

Don't boycott the Club, boycott the sponsors of UEFA if enough of us do that and let UEFA know it will make them take notice

So Michel Platini through his puppet, communications director William Gaillard has branded Liverpool supporters the worst in the world. Quel suprise.

It was obvious to me and several others from the off what Pratini was up to. One of his election promises was to reduce the number of teams entering the Champions League from each country to give the lower countries the opportunity to enter their top sides. Now I'm a cynical individual so I'm inclined to think that it's a response to curb the number of English clubs who reached the semi finals stage this season. The idea of limiting it to the champions of each country would, unless Rafa can mastermind the title every year, mean that we wouldn't qualify.

As soon as the comments emerged today from Gaillard I knew that Pratini had a massive hand in this and that it translated as: get the Scouse ******** out. You'd have to be dillusional not to think this is Pratini's way of gettin back at us for ruining his big moment in 1985.

The facts need to be estabished about Heysel stadium and the tragedy in which 39 Juventus supporters lost their lives so needlessly. For starters that stadium wasn't fit to hold a sunday league match, let alone a European Cup final. Several eyewitnesses from both Liverpool and Juventus have said that the stadium was almost derelict and disaster on some scale was inevitable even before you take into account the scuffles on the terraces between the sets of fans.

Liverpool FC were cited as the main reason why disaster struck in the stadium and all English clubs were banned until 1990 but UEFA extended our European exile for a further year. The reason why we took the blame is because of the hooligan element on the terraces in the early 80s that had started to follow the national side whenever they were playing abroad and also that some of our supporters (if they can be called that) did go over for trouble. There were a few who didn't go over looking for trouble and were caught up in it all, the one that springs to mind is Terry Wilson.

Fast-forward to 2007 and although Athens' Olympic Stadium was a far cry from the crumbling Heysel stadium of 1985, there were signs of UEFA incompetence 22 years after their blunders cost the lives of innocent supporters.

As with Heysel in 1985, UEFA did not have adequate safety checks in place. From what my mates have told me there weren't any turnstiles at the ground. They held a European Cup final at a stadium without turnstiles. Surely that has to be looked into.

Like my uncles back in 1985, some of my mates who went over there have still got their tickets with the stub intact because the lack of security and easy access UEFA failed to eradicate allowed the bunkers in to surge forward. now while that is their own doing and they are lowlifes for doing it, Pratini through his puppet has blamed Liverpool for the whole situation.

Also this claim by Gaillard that there's been 25 incidents involving Liverpool since 2003 seems to be highly trivial. Twenty five incidents? I think he must've put the decimal point in the wrong place. I've only started venturing to away games with me mates this season because in the past I used to go with me dad and didn't see too much of any incidents. The only incident I can recall from this season was at Stamford Bridge for the semi final against Chelsea where the police and Chelsea FC employees over-reacted to the numbers of supporters arriving at the turnstiles late on. Admittedly a few lads did try their hand and bunked in but I didn't and wasn't near the said turnstiles when the incident occurred so I've only got eyewitness accounts to rely on but that's one on the incident list for LFC. Athens, although it was a few prats that counts for two.

So what are these other twenty-three incidents then? I'm really intrigued as I think it's a bit of a cover-up by UEFA of their own incompetence.

I have to ask of Messrs Gaillard and Pratini, did you severely repremand the Roma fans who stabbed Man United supporters in the "eternal city" three months ago? Did you repremand United's fans for charging the gates at Lille, causing a crush in the stand and was it not the same United fans who were fighting with the Roman police in the Stadio Olimpico.

If Liverpool have the worst behaved supporters at European matches, then why is it that we were assigned the 'Best-Behaved Supporters' award by your organisation several seasons ago?

Why were UEFA delegates touting tickets for the final outside the stadium to Liverpool supporters, one of whom has spoken to Radio City about the incident.

Why target Liverpool FC for an incident which was partly down to your organisation's incompetence?

I have my view on it and no doubt you will come out with your own twisted take on the events in Athens but unlike in 1985, dossiers are being compiled not just by Merseyside Police and Liverpool FC but also by the Football Supporters Foundation who are taking eyewitness accounts from our supporters who witnessed what happened in the stadium while you were sipping cocktails with Berlusconi and revelling in Milan's win.

Your organisation can't gag us like you did after Brussels, our supporters will have their voices heard and the events they witnessed will be printed in black and white so don't try and blame us for your corrupt organisation's incompetence.

To be honest I couldn't give a monkeys what UEFA say about us. we know what went on in Athens. sure some fans were out of order but the vast majority we as well behaved as usual.

UEFA will never admit their mistakes so blams us instead. Boycotting the CL sponsors won't make any differemce at all, nor will forming an LFC website association., UEFA won't change its tune.

The club should defend the fans but equally, they probably fear some sort of UEFA backlash if they do.

Overall I care about platini's & UEFA's view of LFC fans in the same way he cares about my view of him and his organistion. I'm sure he doesn't give a ****e about my opinion and I have to say the feeling is entirely mutual.

One of the worst things about this ****e from UEFA is that they are supposed to be the impartial officiating body of European footy. Their comments are like a judge saying in the press that a particular defendant is the worst murderer. Its shocking; UEFA have all but admitted a total bias against us when they are supposedly producing a fair and balanced competition with all teams on a level playing field. How can they referee our matches when they have a preferred outcome? Fandel is a perfect example. He gave us nothing all game and then called it 15 seconds early despite another sub. I mean correct me if im wrong, but that is not at all within his discretion and the time added is a minimum. Why are they permitted to have such obvious prejudice and continue to be the presiding body over us. Why is there no accountability for this?

Not only that, but what do they except the impact will be? Other than insulting supporters all across the world, they will also cause the police and stewards where we will travel in the future into a state where they are more likely to get out the batons and tear gas bc of our "reputation". Its shocking.
