Thanjk you.

People were saying that about the negative DIC articles just before the club dumped them.
Thing is, as I've repeatedly pointed out, we know feck-all about whether H+G have enough liquidity to purchase "big names" this summer. They are going to be hugely extended with the stadium as it is.
Some of Rafa's targets like Tevez and Alves will probably decide next week if they will move to another club because of the Copa America.
So we don't have a lot of time.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

thats fair enough tom but, you have to give them a chance before starting all this paper talk.
its not even pre season yet.
la liga is still going for another 7 days.
only this week hicks said, be patient.

.
Which is my exact point, the article is highly speculative, but at least it's based on evidence in the public domain - namely Rafa's highly public outburst.
I get the sense that we may have to wait a bit before we see any big money spent on signings. Next season or the mid-winter break for example.
You said, and I quote, "he must think about the other shareholders" - I see nothing that supports this contention.
Why you even have an opinion about what goes on in Moores' mind is beyond me but of course you can do what you want.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
We got to the CL final - cash
There is a new TV deal - cash
We finished 3rd - cash
We sell some drivel - cash
GT cough up some change - cash
If GT are reluctant to cough up, it would probably be because of increased stadium cost, but why talk about Snoogy Doggy then?
Doesn't add up.
Why is Rafa whining in the press then?
Well, he hasn't, not since the first meeting after the final after which Rafa came out and said they had sorted some differences.
Since then 4 of our main players have signed new long contracts, a sign of commitment and belief that the club is moving in the right direction.
No negative quotes from Rafa what so ever after this!
GT do not want to say "we got 10000 millions zillions to Rafa" - that increases prices by 50% at least.
I think Bascombe is towing the party line.
So, I reckon we will be ok and that we are not skint.
RAFA FUMES AS TARGETS GO BEGGING
EXCLUSIVE
By Simon Mullock 10/06/2007
RAFA BENITEZ'S relationship with Liverpool's new owners has again become strained by their failure to land any of his transfer targets.
The Kop boss returned from a short family holiday on Thursday angered by the fact that George Gillett and Tom Hicks still haven't swapped promises for hard cash.
Benitez has not been pacified by Liverpool's success in securing Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher, Xabi Alonso and Pepe Reina to new long-term contracts, with Momo Sissoko and Steve Finnan also expected to commit themselves to the club this week.
The Spaniard wanted to see new blood on Merseyside - and now fears his warning to Gillett and Hicks that they risk losing the players he wants to bring in because of their inaction is beginning to come true.
Inter Milan are now in pole position to land Samuel Eto'o if he decides to quit Barcelona in the summer, with the Catalans' £40m price-tag out of Liverpool's league.
The suggestion that Benitez would use Barca target Alonso as bait has now been blown out of the water by the midfielder's new contract agreement.
Lyon's £8m-rated Florent Malouda now looks certain to snub Anfield advances and opt for a move to Chelsea. Seville's Daniel Alves, Real Zaragoza defender Gabriel Milito, Valencia's David Silva and West Ham's Carlos Tevez also feature prominently on Benitez's wish-list - the question is whether he will land any of them.
Three weeks after launching a stinging attack on his Anfield paymasters in the aftermath of the Champions League Final defeat by AC Milan for not getting their act into gear, Benitez is facing competition on all fronts in the transfer market.
Brazilian international Alves - a long-term Liverpool target - is now being courted by Real Madrid, while the Spanish giants have also joined Juventus in the race for Argentine hardman Milito.
Silva, rated at £12m by Benitez's former club Valencia, is being courted by Tottenham and Chelsea and has hinted that a move to London would suit him.
Tevez remains an option - but not at the £25m being quoted.
Benitez's beef has nothing to do with the amount of money he will be allowed to spend and revolves purely around his frustration that Liverpool's American owners do not seem to have grasped the intricacies of football's market despite his repeated warnings.
That is a real bull**** article for a start isn't Diego Milito we're supposed to be linked with, anyway saying that Rafa is gonna face stiff opposition for certain signatures has always been the case did anyone really think that when a class player becomes available that we would be the only ones involved.
Which is my exact point, the article is highly speculative, but at least it's based on evidence in the public domain - namely Rafa's highly public outburst.

Tom I would disagree mate when they bought the club they must've shown Moores evidence of being able to fund the team, the stadium and the buy out otherwise it would've been pointless to sell and I don't think he would've given it away so easily considering he had DIC in the wings as well.
They must be able to stump up at least 25 mill, the rest will come from sales and CL and EPL money which has been major this year.
There are some things that don't add up about this story, though (G&T disagreements, no money for Rafa etc.) for instance, this quote:
Last night, Hicks Snr said: "George and I - and Foster and Tommy - had a long call with Rafa and Rick Parry on Friday and agreed on actions to be taken with our players and possible new players.
"We are all comfortable with our plan - including Rafa. Liverpool had a successful season, and our goal is to be even better next year."
Thing that strikes me is that Tom is always reluctant to talk about how much money there is - whereas George gets a wad of notes out of his pocket...Thing is, that we haven't really heard from George since then.
Perhaps this is where the disagreement stems from - i.e. "Shut up George, do you want the whole world to know we're loaded?" - I just don't see how Tom could be quoted as saying that Rafa was happy with the plans if he just didn't have any money to spend. It would become pretty obvious pretty quickly. Rafa has also had plenty of opportunity since then to give a few subtle hints if necessary. I also heard the suggestion (don't know if true) that in the same meeting Tom asked Rafa how much money he needed, to which Rafa responded with a figure, and was surprised to hear there would be more. For me, Rafa would be squeaking if there were less.
People also forget that tying in four or five of our top players on 5 year deals could also be pretty expensive. It was also done very quickly, which implies the players didn't have much to complain about - surely there are two things which go through a players' mind - more money, more trophies. 5 of our top players have no issues here.
I think the only thing we can be certain of in this story is that there is much more to it than is being reported in the press - I think we are only seeing one side of it.
It's easy for the papers to make up a different story from one week to the next because we're venturing in to the unknown. In previous years, we knew we'd have about 20mil to spend in the summer so it was easy to pick out the realistic and unrealistic targets. Now we haven't got a clue where we are going, just as the papers don't, hence being told we're deffo in for Eto'o one week and the next being told we've got no cash, and this is whats causing the unrest.
It's just a case of waiting and being patient, I still expect all our transfer business to still be done in the next 4-5weeks in time for pre-season, but because this our first summer under G&T there's going to be bull**** stories from reporters who know no more than any of us on these boards. Bascombes articles don't help, and something tell me we aren't really in Forlan, if you read his article in the pink echo I get the feeling it's not an example of objective reporting and more his own personal feelings, which also probably count for zilch.
Let's see where we are with types of threads in 4-5weeks time

Do you know something mate I was thinking exactly the same way I don't believe that Rafa is not happy because if he wasn't we would know.
Why would the likes of Alonso in particular sign a new deal if he didn't, one get more money -(none of the players signed new deals for less money) and two, get some serious reassurances that we would have the players to compete at the very top.
I feel the way the players are talking is an indication that things are going to improve big time.
Rafa is saying nothing but probably keeping the pressure on via Bascombe to make sure nobody takes their foot off and also throw a few curve balls out there.
I think this is the more logical situation.
