Its all a bit harsh on ciise here, there used to be some pro-cisse people, claiming 'he scored 19 goals form the wing' and all, yet everyone seems to be anti-cisse now, or is it just anti-Red08
We didnt pay 14 million for nothing, he was awsome at auxerre, 70 goals in 128 games, albeit in a weak league, but you have to start somewhere. Clearly Ged thought he's bought a future superstar and at 14 mil for a 23 year old compared to a 26/27 year old Drogba at £24m, it must have seemed like a bargain. so thats the 14 mil fee done then.
i dont see the point in red08 stating that he 'WILL' score more than tevez, torres or villa becuase there is no way of proving it and in no-way is his opinion justified by anything. yet he is entitled to his opinion of whether he thinks cisse could do a good job, just like the voronin fan club are entitled to thiers, as clearly both players are ****
in the end though, cisse isnt ****, a goal every 2.1 games over his career is excellent and 2.6 since auxerre, is not that bad. despite him finding the net often it is his all round play that people don't like, as he moans and throws his arms in the air when he is not passed to, misses loads of clear chances and is generally lazy when on the pitch, plus he shoots wildly from anywhere.
Despite my apparent backing of cisse, i dont think he is good enough for us and think we should sell if an offer of say 7/8 mil came in, or we should use him as bait in the torres capture. He clearly was affected by 2 broken legs (who wouldnt be) but has had his time here and it didnt come good for him, rafa looks likely to sell and i wish the lad all the best in the future, he loves the club and fans and even got married in red
but at the end of the day, he's not good enough for us.
