If it was in the street with hundreds hassling him then I could understand. But in the players lounge after your team has had a good win with only around 4 fans in there. Disgraceful.

That's bang out of order then, just not acceptable, hardly kill to pose for a photo/sign a shirt or the like especially as he's the captain of the club.

He's a human being who is good at football, nothing worth idolising mate.

I know ignorant people whose only job is to stand there and be polite to people. Maybe they should be doing a different job.

Gerrards job is to play football and he is very good at it. He may not be a Dwight Yorke or Ronaldinho, but that's life and it don't bother me.

Every other player signed everything, no questions asked. Garcia was the best out of the lot. Treated you like his mate. Gerrard went in the corner acted all smug and ignored us and some security guard was telling us to bugger off and that he isn't signing anything tonight. We were like "What?! We came all the way from Australia and he won't take 2 seconds to sign our tops for us?!". We went to Garcia and told him what happened. Garcia yelled across the room and told Gerrard to sign. He hesistantly waved us over and like a sook signed them. He hardly portrayed a positive image for the club. We weren't impressed to say the least.

I'm firmly on reddragon's side in this one, whilst i understand the arguements put forward by DannyMan that footballers main job is to perform on the pitch, we don't expect them all to go out of there way to make fans from far away comfortable, be happy as larry to meet them but i would expect them to make a bit of an effort, at the end of the day the fans idolise them, they earn there dough from them in many repects, i don't see any reason why they would be grumpy sods just because they see a few fans floating around so there might be a chance of them having to sign an autograph or two...whoop whoop, don't be an aul **** and send the people home happy ffs.
It's not on as far as i'm concerned.

He signed my shirt for me no problems, My mate knows his brother, the amount of **** he gets in Liverpool about all aspects of his private life, and all the jealousy from the blue****e fans is what makes him a very private person.
