He was one of the most frustrating players ever to watch, one minute sublime and the next abysmal. One minute you'll be cursing him and the next he'll score a goal out of nothing.

He scored some great goals especially in the champions League but he is way too lightweight for the Premiership.

£4m is poor value for money especially for a Spain starter.

To be fair, Luis would only have been a squad player in the Premiership (although an extremely valuable one IMO) and would only have been first choice in Europe. In all likelihood, Luis wanted to play more regularly than that, and while I'm sure Rafa would have gladly kept him, if the player wants to move on then you can't hold him back.

Either way, I wish him all the best and thank him for the memories.

Too erratic to be in a topside. They knew it in Barcalona and it's obvious here. From hero to zero and back again in less than a split second. Just my opinion of course.

If consistency is key in PL regards then Garcia isn't the right X-factor.

He was not our most creative player, but that said, I will miss the annoying little long haired **** wit.

He was too inconsistent, but I'd prefer a Garcia in my team, for that one moment of sublime skill, or sublime goal.

Damn annoying but will be sorely missed.

I am also gutted that Luis Garcia has left us.

He was our main creative source and was the only 'truly' creative player we had. He scored some absolutely brilliant goals as well as the crucial ones too. He will be missed especially in European competition.
