What exactly is your problem with me? Familiar pattern- I say something slightly controversial, spark a debate, i get lambasted from all sides despite people saying the same thing as me, i respond, you tell me to stop calling people names, then you call me names, you reiterate your **** points, then you call me a manc. I ask again, why?

Perhaps the lack of any grasp of football is hurting us a bit here.

Although Agger is going to be a great player he is not at the coke sniffers level yet.

What exactly is your problem with me? - you got my attention somewhere around the time you said you had no respect for my opinion
Familiar pattern- I say something slightly controversial, - I don't see it as controversial seems purely like windup material or purposely thought up lies
spark a debate, - not really a debate is it when most of what you say is rubbish
i get lambasted from all sides despite people saying the same thing as me, - i think it's because people don;t quite articulate in the same way as your good self
        i respond, - unfortunately
you tell me to stop calling people names, - well stop doing it then, it's not clever
then you call me names, - i was being ironic
you reiterate your **** points, - not sure i reiterated anything, **** or not
then you call me a manc. - i'm winding you up (also first time i've called you a manc i believe)
I ask again, why? - there's your answers mate

He wasn`t marking anyone, that`s the problem. Had he gone for a ball and lose i wouldn`t think it was mistake but to just stand in six yard box and watch it`s a basic error for a guy who is supposed to be one of the best defenders in the world.

If you compare his positional awarness with Carra or JT you will see where I`m coming from. As i`m not english it doesn`t bother me but I`m quite convinced that Carra- Terry partnership would be much better for England.

You wanted to see his mistake, that was it IMO.

Rafa has what it takes on a number of levels.
Tactically he is unrivalled in Europe right now.
He has learned to be a wheeler and dealer over the past three years, and his success rate has steadily improved.
The team is defensive at heart, and this is a great foundation. I (and others) would like to see him prove that he can produce a team that can attack as well as it defends. Mascherano is a great signing in this regard, as he could become our Roy Keane, ie a defensive mid that acts as the teams fulcrum, cleaning up attacks and providing the impetus to start quick counter attacks. For Keane and Scholes read Mascherano and Alonso.
IMHO we are two players (and a good slice of luck) away from really challenging for the title. Eveyone knows we need a top class forward and a top class creator.
Finally, the most important element that Rafa needs this season is a proper preseason for a team that has for once had a decent summer break.

Good post mate but comparing Alonso to Scholes is taking things a stretch. Xabi is no doubt a truly class player but he is hardly the attacking midfielder that scholes has been for the mancs. In fact, I think the fact that we are crying out for creativity so much on the wings is to accomodate the fact that our central midfield partnership are predominantly defensive midfielders, hence the need for the creativity to come from the flanks if we are to challenge for the title

He cannot do two things. In an ideal world he would be able to concentrate on two things at once. He was focusing on Adebayor and making sure he didn't score, that was his job. That was someone else's mistake not WGTs. Carra and Terry is not a good defensive partnership. A great central defence needs pace, that one would get ripped apart by any decent pace and movement. I promise you.

Could that be as related to the fact that the absence of Ferdinand often means the presence of Brown though?

                          Solid point.

As with Agger not there, it's Sami, and that sure as hell ain't Brown.

[completely ridiculous sad *******] no you weren't you listed them individually and said only 2 would get into any of the other teams and you harp on about Rio being better than Agger.[/completely ridiculous sad *******]

So which is it, the back 5 as a unit or the players themselves?

Exactly the back up they have is the reason they miss Ferdinand. Agger goes out for us and Sami comes in, not quite **** your pants scary.
