Fredo will have known about Hillsborough. He has been around long enough to be fully aware of it all. Because he isnt a local though, he sees things without emotion. He couldnt grasp the Liverpool/United thing and its obvious he cant grasp the Sun boycott.

He was always going to get a bollockin off someone once he posted what he did. He mustve known that was coming. Granted no one wants to get abuse but he will have seen others down the years get the saem reception. Its sad that he got a bollcking but him walking away from it isnt going to help him at all. Scouser T etc have all made thier feelings clear and Im sure dont mean to hound Fredo out but rather than run from it, Fredo shouldve been man enough to think and look again at what he said, do some homework and Im sure a few of us would help him, then hopefully he can realise his error and understand about peoples emotions.

His posts about the Sun dismissed peoples feelings so the posts in return dismissed his. Im not saying Fredo is 100% to blame but he cant plead innoccent as he has been around far to long to not know of the subject.

Yes I agree. However, if all people are going to do is kick off and call him a **** then how is that helping? As I said in my original post. RS4 managed to respond to a post similar to Fredo's without resorting to name calling etc so why can't other people? Again like I said, you are not going to educate someone by being abusive towards them as that only gets peoples backs up and makes them defensive. If someone had maybe bothered to pm Fredo or posted in an intelligent manner then maybe they may have had more success. Instead, all that's happened is one poster has ended up leaving.

It's not about apologising for 'having an opinion' is it?

It's about doing the right thing, and apologising for totally misjudging (if that was the case, which I don't think it was...) the depth of feeling (again - how any "fan" can not understand the emotion regarding Hillsborough...) toward this subject.

You say he never had the chance, but again I'll point out that he had plenty of time to talk about "one less clown around here" and so on.

He was in the wrong, and there's no escaping that.

We dont live in an ideal world though and to be fair, the tone of Fredos posts encouraged such a reaction. Its not like he was asking why, he just dismissed it.

Does noone else just think he is sulking like a big kid, to be honest if someone called me a **** on here id just laugh and think "someone is taking life too seriously again". Im sure if all the "love in crew" send him loads of kiss arse PM's he will come back bigger and better!!!!
To suggest to scousers "to move on" about the sun is like telling Jewish people to move on from Hitler, It simply is never going to happen, and nor should it.
I know its slow at the moment but having a debate because someone took thier ball home is a low point.
