This thread is just a pathetic joke, Bellamy has done this all his career so what he moans at Refs moans at the opposition has a go when he feels hard done by, what would those having a go at him for doing that have him do? agree with every decisition that go against him with a slight shug of the shoulders and say "excellent decision that ref"

I think a lot on here seem to be forgetting during the time from 1977 to 1990 we had one of the biggest moaners on a football pitch ever playing for us. don't seem to remember people complaining about him moaning all the time.

Bellamy's work rate is higher than Cisse's

Both of them are moaners - Bellamy has moaned at team mates at previous clubs, he hasn't with us yet as he can't believe his luck at playing for Liverpool. You can't say one is a disgrace for moaning, and the other is just passionate about winning - this is bollocks.

It remains to be seen if Bellamy scores more than Cisse.

At the moment Bellamy is worth his place in the team.

Kuyt will be better than both of them.

Bellamy is no different, just maybe a bit more intense, but that just shows his desire and his will to win, something we have been crying out for last season.
But above all their talent was very much greater than their whingeing. And it wasn't arm-waving whingeing EVERY SINGLE TIME. That's not the case with Bellamy. I'm all for him caring, but the way he carries on all the time, he acts just like a spoilt child. That's not what I want to see in a RED shirt.

I'd rather see Bellamy whinging and battling away than see nando letting his head drop every time something goes against him.
          Agreed.

We all knew what he'd be like, I'm sure Rafa knew better than anyone, but I wouldn't have it any other way. He gets all the players and the fans fired up.
The best way to get the fans fired up is stick the ****ing ball in the back of the ****ing net. If he's busy whingeing, he's not getting back and getting into position, or trying to get the ball back. That should be his first (and ONLY) priority, and if Kuyt has already told him this, then good on him.

It's constructive whinging whereas Cisse's was destructive whinging. That's the way I see it anyway.
That's the first time I've seen whingeing described as constructive!

His team work is vastly superior to Cisse, there is no comparisson. He may not score as many as 19 goals this season but he'll contribute more than Cisse.
His team work may be more superior to Cisse's. I measure my strikers mainly by goals (and Cisse scored a few important ones for us), and for me Bellamy has a LOT to prove. As does Crouch (but so far this season he's doing the biz - long may it continue). But my first choice pairing would be Kuyt & Bellamy, for the shear variety, goalthreat and workrate if nothing else.

Well I think you're exaggerating by saying Bellamy waves his arms and whinges every single time. That's not what I see anyway.
Personally I don't think his whinging has affected his ability to stick the ball in the net, tackle back or get back into position. He seems to do all that whilst whinging as well. I certainly haven't noticed him not tracking back but then I haven't been to a live match which he's played in yet.

OK you measure strikers by goals, I measure them by cumulative contribution to the team. He certainly has a lot to prove but he's doing OK at the moment. Early days yet
rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.

Whilst i dont want to see it interfere with his play, once on Saturday He was arguing with Carroll (again) and Xabi had to scream at him to go offer the short corner option, if it winds opposition up im all for it. A lot of our greatest players of all time had plenty to say on the pitch (Souness, Tommy Smith, McMahon, Kenny to name a few) but it didnt stop them becoming "legends".

I think Craig perhaps needs to grow up a little but if you took all the aggression out of his game you wouldn't have the same player.

On a positive note his pace and movement along with Kuyt and Stevies flick and through balls on Saturday was ****ing excellent to watch and it could lose us the "boring football" tag that the moronic fans of lesser clubs label us with. And his finish for the "offside" goal was a superb touch from a natural goalscorer.

As I have said before, personally I dont like Bellamy giving out to the ref and linesmen over decisions as long as he doesnt get abusive.
But I would be more concerned if he started having a go at his teamates instead.
Ability wise, he is exactly what the G_man ordered.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

For me, Bellamy has scored once so far, and been caught offside loads of times when there was no real need - he can and needs to do better. For me it's common sense that the more he concentrates on winning the ball back, and pressurising defenders as they're coming out with the ball, rather than wasting 2-3 valuable seconds whingeing at the linesman / ref / other players (seconds in hich he could have covered valuable ground with his pace) - something Kuyt did very effectively for the short time he was on the pitch on Sat. Rush was great at that, without the theatrics. Bellamy should model himself on Rush's contribution to the side. He is doing OK but he COULD be a great player for LFC, but he needs to continue to improve.

But they were all players who didn't let their attitude interfere with their or the team's game, or their contribution to the game (i.e. no-one had to shout at them to stop whingeing and cover this or that man). If that continues the palyers will soon get fed up telling him.
