I think Torres would get into both sides. I would point to Chelsea's failed bid to sign him last summer as an indication of this, for Chelsea at least.

He *might* get in chelseas side, if they were playing two up front and if he got in ahead of shevchenko.

The lad has massive potential, and I'm excited to see him here, dont get me wrong. But I don't think he could walk into either of those two sides just yet.

Chelseas signings are squad signings to be fair (bar malouda, who would get in our side), wheras we're supposed to be strengthening our first team by buying quality, and thus far have improved, but not that markedly I fear.

BTW, I'm not a manc, and I'm not a doomsayer, just trying to be objective. We will be closer, but we're still lacking players that the top two would be genuinely envious of. The ones we've bought may grow into those players, but this year is too soon for us IMO.

HAHA. Alrite, what has Torres done to warrant a place over Sheva? Sheva has scored buckets in the champions league, an immense ammount of goals for kiev and milan, and remains a world class player. Torres, erm, if i'm not mistaken, has not shown any sign of reaching such levels.
