I think we have signed one of the best young players in Europe who will only get better for us, Babel will show his class and win a lot of people over this season
    Is right

Patience seems to be a thing of the past.
How many fans would have ditched Carra years ago because he was not a supastar when young?

Van Basten and others rate Babel very highly, so maybe he deserves a couple of seasons with us before being written off,

The training at Liverpool is meant to be a shock to the new players coming in. Sounds like they were all sluggish today, so not fair to judge Babel on that performance.

just watched the highlights. and it seemed as though they had much better chances than us. should have got beat imo, and would have if they weren't so ****e up front.
        well maybe a draw.

          Well said, mate.

The lad's played 1 hour of pre-season football for us and already he's being written off by some as the signing we didn't need to make and at a price we shouldn't have paid.

A lot of people seem to be forgetting that Babel played in a tournament this summer so from the start of last season he hasnt had much rest and then he joins Liverpool who have a very gruelling training schedule.

He looked physically drained yesterday but the lad will get better and anyone who writes him off at this stage is a numpty.

He should count himself lucky he got two games to be written off, Voronin and Yossi hadn't kick a ball and most people had already made up their minds.

I think if you'd been watching the match live, you'd have probably realised the irony in the Babel comments.

No-one is writing him off, but the match thread reads differently after the game.

Babel was seriously rubbish yesterday. But he looked fuct.

Probably having his tits kicked in on the training ground.... lol

                  That's probably right, mate.

To be fair to the lad he wasn't the only one who looked ****e yesterday, was he? The whole team never played well or got into any form.

His dummy for the Stevie goal showed great awarness and early on he had some nice touches even going down the left, beating his man with pace and delivering a decent cross in with his left foot at one point. I think he, like many others, faded due to the heavy training that the players are through at the moment.

exactly. and he'll be less used to it than any of the others. And like you say, they all looked buggered.

Balls, he just didn't have the energy to receive the ball and was lucky it fell to Stevie.
