So the pitch is 8m below ground and there's bunkers and ****, and a carpark under the stadium. There'll be one big hole in the ground soon.

I think one of our main concerns always was that the stadium had to be distinctive to us, you had to be able to look at it and recognise it instinctively as Liverpool's stadium. I am satisfied that this design fulfils that criteria.

Certainly we could have done with seeing more pics, an aerial view etc, more views of what the stadium will look like from both the outside and in, or even one of those 360 degree virtual tours things they did with the previous design. I've no idea why they've only released 3 pics.

I don't want to turn this into another "sack Parry" scenario, but one observation I'd like to make is why Parry is now saying that we have an original, abstract design befitting the club which is a departure from the trend of the bowl-shaped stadium, when he presented us with a bowl shape design not so long ago, not only that but a stadium which had a limited capacity and no room for exapnsion, one that was revised down from the original cpacity 65,000? I don't knwo how well Parry does his job behind the scenes, but I have serious concerns about him simply from what he says.

        Good post mate.

Maybe the club can flog the excavated soil to build some levee's for the flood effected areas...

Money - the bowl is a lot cheaper to build....

Or perhaps it shows that Parry is actually quite good at his job ie putting forward a proposal within the clubs budget and then it being amended when there is investment

I hear you on the points about Parry. It seems daft, but it could just be due to lack of funds. The crap bowl is probably the "First Price" choice.

The Netto bowl was all we could afford; now we're shopping in Selfridges

From the outside it looks amazing.

The seats are close to the pitch

                          Kop is huge.

I worry about those corners though and the empty space effects on the acoustics. We must be prepared to be stuck at 60ish thousand though to, if so I hope they'll be tidies up and hold the sound in.
