Worries for new season

Babel and Benayoun. Could that 16m have been better spent ? Quaresma perhaps....

That's my biggest worry.

Otherwise I'm fairly confident we can mount a challenge.

i've not seen babel but i was well pleased with the benayoun purchase.

Rafa will never go for a 20 goal a seasoon striker. He expects goals to come from all areas of the team.
My main worry is I am not sure how many goals we can get from midfield. For me our season may hinge on a fit Harry Kewell. If he's fit he can score 10 goals a season and get as many assists.

A 20 goal striker is one player. If he gets injured the team would be screwed.

Goals from all round the team means that if one key player suffers an injury, there would still be enough goals in the team to win games.

I'd wager he made a mistake, i'd imiagine he was talking about goals with strikers as per Rafa's quote where he said he'd prefer 15 goals each from all of his strikers wather than one scoring 20+. But that's just my guess

Well he needs to perform but so do others. If babel comes in and performs then there would be no need for Harry. This year everyone needs to step up a level if we are to challenge for the league

Well there not. But im just echoing what Rafa says and that is that a 20 goal a season striker will not always win you the league.

Hopefully this season we'll see goals from Kewell, Gerrard, Agger, Riise cant really them coming from too manyother places apart from our strikers.

We'll maybe see Alonso get 1 02 and likewise Pennant, but can't see much else after that, maybe Babel

Another thing is with rotation it's very hard to get 20 goals a season.
I expect Alonso to get at least 5 this season and if he plays a bit further forward maybe 7-8

Can't see it tbh mate, odds are he'll play less games so don't see him getting 5 or more, maybe Leive will weigh in with a few, he's a bit of an unknown quantity atm
