You're probably the only person on this planet that has read it that way.

Steven Gerrard believes referee Rob Styles has cost Liverpool two precious Premier League points after wrongly awarding Chelsea a second half penalty at Anfield.
Frank Lampard levelled from the spot to cancel out Fernando Torres' brilliant opener, but it was the manner of the penalty award which left the Liverpool camp seething after the game.

Florent Maldouda's run took him into the path of Steve Finnan and after the Frenchman went to ground Styles awarded a controversial penalty, much to the disgust of the home team.

"I don't want to say too much because I'll get into trouble, but the referee didn't play well today," said Gerrard.

"Whether it was because the Chelsea players were talking I don't know, but in the end he's cracked and made a bad decision. It wasn't a penalty and I hope he comes out and says sorry now. We have to apologise as players if we make mistakes so I hope he does the same.

"There were so many positives from that performance, though, and I really think it shows we can challenge this season.

"The goal was excellent. I managed to slide the ball into Fernando's path and he showed great quality to finish it off. More of the same please, Fernando!"

Gerrard also revealed he will have an x-ray tomorrow on his fractured toe to determine if he can play any part in England's midweek friendly with Germany.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I didn't pick up he was saying he was bribed, he was just really pissed at all of the hard work and effort we put in without getting reward for it. We beat them today, Rafa knows it, Maureen knows it and the ref knows it, and we have to pick up the tab.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I don't give a **** what Styles say's, he booked Essien, no question. Look at the replay, he went over to Essien, grabbed the ball, pointed towards the dugout and showed him a yellow.

Rafael Benitez was annoyed with Rob Styles' penalty award for Chelsea which cheated Liverpool out of victory at Anfield.
"I think it was a mistake, it's unbelievable," fumed the Reds boss after the 1-1 draw.

"How can you make this decision? How can you change a game like this, unbelievable? It's clear, if he watched the video he'd understand why we're so disappointed.

"I feel we had some good chances against a good team. The game was under control. But these kind of decisions you cannot explain. Maybe he was under pressure all the time but I'd prefer not to say too much.

"I think for us its a positive performance. We showed character quality and had chances against a good team. We need to see if we can continue this over nine months."
