Theres no room for 4 strikers in the 16 and its not really about dropping kuyt imo its just about seeing how our other strikers can perform together.
          All very logical there mate.

Kuyt was the one major negative for me today. I'll never question his workrate, how could you? But is he effective? Remember that he's a striker, yet he very rarely gets into a goalscoring positions.

Is it instructions from Rafa or is he just a bottler?

We all know what Crouch will bring to the table, and Voronin looks an interesting player.

No player should ever get in the side based on his workrate alone, especially a striker/forward. He needs to do more, be it scoring or creating.

It's got to be Crouch & Torres next week at Sunderland IMO.

Kuyt offers so little a goal threat it's frightening. Yeah yeah...he works very hard but it's not enough. I like him and he has a part to play for us, but we've got to start using other options now - Crouch, especially, and Voronin offer a much bigger goal threat.

I wonder why Rafa plays him as an attacking midfielder and not as a striker? We have other players like Gerrard, Voronin or Lucas who is better in that position.

If Kuyt plays, then he should play as a striker, every game.

If not, sell him and sign a player who can play as an attacking midfielder, like Deco or Van der Vaart.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

My opinion is that Kuyt is better suited for away games when we need to play a little deeper, keep hold of possesion and get stuck in. At home when were all out attack I think Voronin and Crouch are both better options as there both going to score more goals. Next home game I would love to see Torres and The Crow getting a go, with Voronin playing the second striker role.

Kuyt's hard work was evident again today and Cech made a greta save from his header (for which we didn't get a coener). But on more than one occasion, his 1st touch was poor today when a solid rentin of poossession would have put us in a dangerous position. I like Dirk, but his 1st touch WAS off today. But there were plenty of other things in his game to be happy with.

His finishings not the best either and he is a striker after all. He relies too much on power and too many of his shots blaze over, or, like last season, hit the woodwork. I wish he was nore composed with his finishing.

Did Kuyt have a shot? Oh yeah he did and it was a howler. The guy is soo slow and frustrating when he has the ball to his feet.

Remind me how many shots on target Drogba had? Guess he must be **** too then. FFS, this anti-Kuyt axe some people seem to need to grind 24/7 is pathetic imo. :whatever:

Thought he played very well today, as he did against Villa. People with agendas.

MR M, the difference there is is that you know Drogba will score in other games. (He scored in midweek) Kuyt never looks like scoring!

The thing with Kuyt, for me, and has been mentioned before, is that he doesn't scare centre-backs. He barely even works them in dangerous areas. He comes into more contact with the opposition's midfield and one of the oppo's centre-backs are often getting a free ride, enabling them at times to double up on our other striker, cos Kuyt's nowhere near the box.

That said I thought he was excellent at Villa last week and he wasn't *****e* today - I just feel we can do better.
