    same position/role.

I recon if the interent was around in Barnes and Kenny's days we see the same re them unless we hammered teams 5-0.

Remember we beat leicester 2-0 and Emlyn was stating how they got abuse from fans whilst having a meal for only winning 2-0.

There's too much expetation of players performing for 90minutes like they do for 30 seconds on highlights - if that was the case games would be 50-50.

It does seem only when players come off ala Mascher in the final people realise the role they play.

Bet Rafa was happy with Kuyt yesterday.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Michael I've given up defending him mate your dealing with people who are not willing to change their minds despite evidence otherwise.
Shaggy makes some good points as usual but unfortunately he's wrong.
Kuyt is an essential cog in our team that links the MF and Strikers very well while also creating space for Torres/Voronin, both of whom he has looked decent alongside.
The real reason I have given up defending him is because Rafa rates him and knows what he gives to the team and once he scores 15 goals or so Rafa won't let him go anywhere because he'll produce for the other players.
Also mate the stats mightn't say he had a shot on target but he did make Cech work to tip over form his header.
If he keeps doing what he's doing and we keep scoring/winning I'll be damn happy.

I'm not a great fan of Kuyt but I think anyone that says he says he hasn't upped his effort/workrate etc from last season is wrong. He is going to be a second striker for Torres - that's obvious, same as Crouch or Voronin would be. Personally I think Crouch has a lot to offer the team but I would have thought that he would have to play upfront with Torres playing off him (if they were to be paired) so I couldn't see this working. I think Voronin would/will match Torres well - he's much more likely to play Torres "in" than Kuyt in my opinion - and based on what I've seen of him more likely to take a goal chance than Kuyt. Either way I don't think we drew yesterday because Kuyt was playing rather than either Crouch or Voronin - we drew because of a ****e ref's decision and because of how we failed to get over that decision after it was made.

The funny thing is, Kuyt is exactly the sort of striker that the Scum are missing at the moment, they have no physical presence at the top of the pitch. Make no mistake, Ginsoak would kill to have Kuyt in his squad right now!

Kuyt and Torres make a superb partnership upfront for my money and striking that balance of strength and goal threat between your 2 forwards is essential.

I just can't believe that people seem to be failing to see the bigger picture, thank god Rafa isn't!

Personally I think Torres is EXACTLY the sort of player they need. A line-leader, a physical presence with power, pace to burn, skill, touch and strength. They've got no sort of focal point and if they think it will change when Rooney comes back then they're mistaken. He'll fill the same spaces as Tevez does.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I agree on rooney, they need Saha back; fit and in form in a hurry. Tevez was a strange signing for Utd; as they have an abundance of players of his type.

Kuyt did really well yesterday. They all did. Even Pennant who I cant stand.

They will probably sign Anelka. Personally, I hope they are stuck with what they have.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

                        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs
