Much as I'd love Garry Mac to be back involved, it's not purely a coaching position so don't think he would have the experience for this particular role unfortunately
Still hoping this will be put down as a glorified "lover's tiff" but doesn;t look like it

No mate, nothing - Maestro is backing the story and he's been on the ball so there's obviously something going on

Maybe that french bloke who was our assistant that did all the hard work which houllier took credit for? all the players respected and spoke highly of him. can't remember his name but he left us to manage a club in france
Jumping the gun a bit probably, but It's Friday, I'm bored and couldn't resist.
Gary McAllister ? Or someone we've never heard of from Spain ?
I think we might bring in more than one person to replace Pako to be honest. I would love it if one was Gary Mac - although he has limited coaching experience it is always nice to see legends back at the club (as long as they have allowed their thinking to move with the times).
He also said in January when the Scottish job was available that he was ready to get back into management. So I guess there is hope considering he has been interviewed/approached by the club about jobs before when he was unavailable (if you believe internet talk).

Doubt Capello would ever want to be number two to anyone to be honest.
That said, he IS out of a job at the moment. Probably sitting at home in Naples munching jaffa cakes and playing pro evo.
Christ, can you imagine Rafa and Capello together ? What a ****ing explosive mixture.
That would be probably the best managerial pair of all time. Though it would most certainly mean the downfall, because in no time, Rafa and Capello would disagree on something and it would be Evans/Houllier all over again.
