Out of interest anyone know what Gary Mac is up to at the minute?

I'd like whoever is up to the job, whether its a club legend or someone who was a woeful player from Uganda I really couldnt care less.

              Too many people look backwards...

I loved Garry Mac as a player, but can't see it.
I think we should look at making new legends, not bringing old heroes back.

Whoever he hires, does anyone doubt he'll be good? This is "Roffa" we're talking about.

                    I agree of course...

The only thing is we need someone NOW, we dont have all summer to go scouting around Africa and South America searching for the best undiscovered coach in the buisiness.

Gary Mac would certainly seem like a sensible short term (potentially long term) introduction to the coaching staff.

I kind of agree that the first consideration has to be the coaching abilities of the people coming in. I do however like the feeling of a community of ex-players that bringing a continuity and loyalty to the club to the table.

I have to say I oscillate on the idea about Gary Mac as I have heard good things about his coaching but have no reliable source and he hasn't had a job for a while and wasn't an unmitigated success at Coventry.

That said, he IS out of a job at the moment. Probably sitting at home in Naples munching jaffa cakes and playing pro evo.
