Apparently this new Paco injured his arm in the comical brawl between Inter Milan and Valencia players last season

Who was the guy that did the warmup today?

He looked about 4 ft tall...

Anyone else notice Rafa looked a bit forlorn today as well?

I think Paco Jewell would be a great option.

          Really?

So are the stories in the papers today true then.
                - Paco refused to take part in the team photo, which was the last straw for Rafa, as there was a scene made infront of all the players about it just before the shot was due to be taken.
                - Pace hugged and laughed with Jose Mouinhno after the draw at Anfield, with Rafa being pissed off over it, due to the manner of the win and because Rafa doesn't like Jose anyway. Aparently Paco is quite close to Jose?.
                - Paco had an interview for the director of football post at Athletico Bilbao without telling Rafa?.

If this is true, which I have no idea if they are or not, then Rafa had every right to get rid.
IMO, the latest developments will mak Rafa closer to the football club. As it is the club, city, players and the fans which Rafa is faling in love with IMO.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I read that the pair had their differences over the past 4-5 months which culminated in pako getting almightily pissed off when Rafa signed another fitness coach (his name is paco...seriously) hence Pako going for a new job and becoming a ****, hence Rafa sacking him this week. If true then we have less than nothing to worry about as Rafa has taken over some of Pakos role and the new fitnes coach, paco, has taken the rest. Sorted.

Rafael BenÍtez, the Liverpool manager, has no plans to replace Pako Ayesteran after his assistant’s surprise decision to leave the club last week. Having appointed Paco de Miguel as a fitness coach and Ángel Vales as head of technical analysis at Anfield this summer, BenÍtez believes that he has the staff to compensate for the loss.

The news will only reaffirm Ayesteran’s belief that he was undermined by BenÍtez after arguing that the arrival of De Miguel and Vales encroached on his duties, which involved the technical and fitness aspects of training.

Liverpool did not appear to miss Ayesteran when hammering Derby County 6-0 at Anfield on Saturday, although the departure of such an influential figure is only likely to be felt in the longer term. The players were informed of Ayesteran’s decision on Thursday after training.

Relations between BenÍtez and Ayesteran had been strained for several months. BenÍtez is renowned for keeping his players at arm’s length and believes that his management staff should do the same, but the manager is understood to have felt that Ayesteran had become too close to many members of the senior squad.

BenÍtez also demands extreme loyalty from his staff and is believed to have felt betrayed that Ayesteran was identified for the role of director of football at Athletic Bilbao and that he had a cordial relationship with José Mourinho, his arch rival at Chelsea.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
