I see no reason why Alex Miller can't fill Paco's shoes.

Plus we have fitness coaches and a technical analysis team at hand. We have more than enough

What does Alex Miller actually do with the squad ?? I've never seen him anywhere except next to Rafa at every game ...

Is he Rafa's personal jester ?? Whispers jokes in Rafa's ear during the games ??

These days his main job is to coach the players. But he is also a tactician

Pls excuse my ignorance I always hear conflicting opinons about what a Coach does and what a Manager does in the EPL. There is a deabte going on here in Oz about whether Aussie Rules should go down the 'premier league' path of appointing a Manager who would sit above the Coach in the hierarchy. Sports journos over here seem to get confused about the role of the Manager

A coach in Aussie Rules plans training and fitness, decides the tactics, makes moves during match, substitutes players, selects the team, fronts the media etc, etc-. Of course he has a complement of support staff to assist him. To me thats what a Manager in the EPL does- certainly what Rafa does, except we call them a coach.

However a Coach here has little to no involvement in contracts or the financial side of things

          Enlightenment pls

In a manager and coach situation the coach is simply there to take the training and implement the ideas of the manager.

Rafa the manager is in overall control of everything from transfers to team selection.

Coaches like Alex Miller and Paco are simply there to put the players through their training sessions and get them fit and ready.

At the end of it all the Manager then selects the team and tactics

they are generally the same thing, sort of. different managers will have different methods of training/managing their teams yet all football managers have a backroom staff such as 1st team coaches, fitness coaches, goalkeeping coach etc. these serve the purpose of training the players, sorting out the on field tactics before the game and help the manager with tactics and advice on subs etc during a game. rafa will have involvement in all of this aswell just that by having more men it makes his life a lot easier. i think its just a case of who's higher up the hierarchy.

rick parry generally sorts out all the financial stuff along with the board of directors and chairman i doubt rafa has too much involvement in this but he would definitely have some input as he has too choose the transfer targets etc.

our start to the season shows how little we will miss pako. the signings he didn't want sure are playing **** aren't they. rafa is in control and it shows.

it's hard being in business with your friends anyway, the fact rafa did the right thing even though it is a tough decision shows what a good leader he is. pako got himself fired imo, nothing to do with rafa being ruthless.....

                .....even though he is
