It has to do with it because it tells you how kids are taught football these days. Thus highlighting how **** Englands set up is compared to the same level abroad.

I think a lot of it is down to the importance that is put on winning at a young age. As much as I like to see my lads team win I get just as much enjoyment out of watching them play good football. The kids should be encouraged to try new things especially in games as no matter how often they try a turn or whatever on their own it's not the same as in a game situation when you're trying to beat your man.
others before you have made the point as well and i reckon this is were it all goes wrong for england.
and there's too much money involved in england, too much money thrown around for every half decent lad with million miles to go before being only half ready for international footie. millions being paid for teenagers who suddenly earn more in a week than their family in a whole month. ****ing ridiculous is all it is!
say what you want but you need some strong people around you to keep you on the ground otherwise you get spoiled.

there's not that many 'foreigners' playing in spain and their national side's always been a lot of underachievers...

the problem england get no where is the tactics simple as they, they play like they've never seen each other and treat the ball like a hot potato.
they should have gone for a techinal manager who would have got them playing in he manner that befits their talent, gus hiddink.
blaming the foreign legion is a little silly the best players at liverpool, manu, chelsea are english. make no mistake is mcclueless was in charge of liverpool even with the squad we currently have he'd manged them into the ground.
To be honest I think our squad is worthy of semi-quarter finals of major tournaments and no more. Sven did a good job even if he did not play very inspiring football.

In my opinion as a group we lack the reliable basic technique and instinctive tactical awareness to be genuine favourites/contenders. Obviously occasionally an anomaly like the Greek win comes a long but at the minute that is what we are hoping for.

Our squad relies too much on one or two players to create and lead. Obviously part of that is down to the management but part of it is down to the pool of talent and the type of players within it.
