The problem was that he asked them in a nice way to cut down on the swearing and the idiots just made fun of her.

Some idiots just doesn't have the brain cells so you can't have a good normal communication with them because they think they are the kings of the universe and that nothing can hurt them.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

      I'm not disagreeing

All I'm saying is why put her in that position in the first place? If he's been to 200 games in the past he would of experienced the colorful language that goes on a football matches so he would of been at least prepared.

I could never condone some morons abusing a young child it's disgusting and they should be banned.

Personally I think this story is made up.

I think it is fair to say that as a society we have moved on from the playstation generation into the asbo generation.

I think that the PL needs to crack down on these idiots in the same way as they have been doing with racism. I am not sure how this would be possible but that is why I do not get paid there overinflated salary's.

I am sure that every club has these idiots and it is about time it was addressed at a national level.

He should have taken her to the dissabled area but it's sad that you need to do that when she would be able to be in the stands if it wasn't for some idiots.

There are quite a few responses on the OS thread saying that it was mainly his fault for not putting up with swearing and challenging these people. What did he expect? etc.

So it's not the morons who need to change their behaviour, it's everyone else.

This is a very worrying argument. Why shouldn't disabled people - or anyone else 'different' for that matter - not have the right to attend our games without fear of abuse? It's very easy to say disabled people or black people shouldn't attend our games if they don't want to get abused and, if there were no black or disabled people there, there would seem to be no prejudice. But prejudice like this should be tackled. It reflects badly on our club, on Liverpool and on society in general. Disabled people should have the same right as able-bodied people to attend games and it's the responsibility of other fans and the club to weed out these ignorant c*nts and ban them for life. Tackle the cause, not the symptom.

You are totally missing my point.

Anyone should be allowed to attend games and prejudice like this should be tackled without question. I'm not defending the morons who abused this young girl in any way shape or form they are idiots and should be banned for life. However swearing happens at football matches it's a fact and this bloke if he has been to 200 games knows this. What I'm saying is if you know the girl is going to get upset by bad language why put her in that position in the first place? Say she was at the Chelsea game for example she would of clearly heard the crowd chanting that John Terrys ma loves the scouse cock which would of made her upset and possibly cry so is he right to take her to the football?

The problem is that incidents like this is now seen as a normal incident and nothing to worry about when it should be seen as a disgusting thing that should be reported straight away.

Another problem is that if the guilty ones find out who reported it then he/she will be in a lot of trouble and it will be no one there to protect them.

Simple solution was to just report it to a steward and wave goodbye to the ****s as they are escorted away from the ground.

Yeah, but thta's not direct abuse...Ok she's was may have not been impressed by bad language..My mum isn't when i call her a ****...(kidding) but direct abuse of her disability is a different kettle of fish, that is waht should be addressed here, it's IMO worse than racial abuse, but thta's just my point of view and i don't expect everyone to agree

I agree the direct abuse is disgusting and they should of been kicked out but she was getting upset before that by the general swearing that was going on.

I swear. Sometimes I'm a bit drunk or stoned and don't think about those around me when I do.

If someone asked me politely whether I could stop swearing, I either would stop (certain that this would be the case) or I wouldn't. Hurling abuse at somone wouldn't even enter my mind. The fact that many people seem to associate a polite request with an automatic barrage of abuse is a sad indictment indeed. This kind of reaction is not normal (although worringly common) and it is not a state of affairs that people have to accept.

That's up to him to decide as her guardian. Weighing up any upset that general bad language may have caused, with the pleasure of watching the team she supports in the flesh. We cannot make a judgement on that.

You are infering that by going to a football match and asking politely for people to moderate their language, he was asking for the girl to be the subject of direct ridicule and abuse. I do not accept this.
