I like Pepe and think he is an excellent keeper.
However I also think keepers are easier to replace than most other positions.
Carson is a very good keeper and would do a good job too.
How would people feel if their offer was say £15 million and Aguero?

For the record as we dont seemingly need the dosh id rather reina stay for the next ten years.

I really must argue against this point. A top 'keeper is worth his weight in gold and is no easier to replace than any other position. Just look at this- James,Westerweld,Kirkland,Dudek everyone of them were frail in our goal and cost us points.

Look at it differantly, F.A Cup final, CL semi last season, would we of missed Reina in those games? He's without doubt the first name on Rafa's teamsheet and rightly so.

We've had this bollocks with Pepe last season and Alonso every season he's been here and surprise surprise nothing ever happens. It's bull****.

Why would e leave a team that constantly challenges in all fronts to the Spanish equivalent of Tottenham Hotspur?
            We come not to play.

Ok, I agree with you and therefore my feeble attempt at encouraging a debate is completely invalid.

Absolutely correct. The Mancs have never really replaced red nose.Even Van der Saar is prone to mistakes.Lehmann is another and Valdes at Barca is always making mistakes and fat Robbo is a disgrace.A good keeper gives confidence to his defence.
Reina is like a sweeper at times. He has great feet and often starts attack with his long throws and passes. It is a specialised position and there are not a whole lot of "top class" keepers around. We are blessed to have him.
For this point alone Carson is worth 10m.

                  Completely agree

Looking at our past keepers, you would always think 'Yep, good game today Westerveld/James/Dudek', but you know that the week after they could have a howler and let in three soft ones. For the first time in years we've got a superb, safe, reliable keeper, who's organised us to be one of the best defences in Europe. Carson's good, but Reina is a different class - irreplaceable I think.

Reina is the reason to why we can play the attacking football that we now do. If we replace him with Carson then we would also need to play more defensive.

I think myself that Reina is our most important player and he is now probably the most complete keeper in the world. When he first joined us he didn't dominate the box but now he is dominating it without any problems at all.

He is also one of the best, if not the best keeper to start a quick attack, he throws or kicks the ball 50-60 yards without any problem to a player with excellent precision.

He is excellent on the line, excellent at penalties, excellent ball control and excellent organizing the defense.

In short, he is the most complete keeper in the world and will get even better.

I wouldn't even sell him for £30m because we can't replace him and keep playing the way we do.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think it's down to the attacking signings Rafa made and him not being as cautious as before.Reina is good but he is no playmaker

But he plays almost as a sweeper and is quick out of his area meaning the rest can play higher up the pitch which encourages more attacking style of play.

I know but I think Torres is the real reason so far.
